4:15 Southwell Racing Tips (20th October)

SOUTHWELL 2.30 Div I

Not a bad race for a class 6 affair with 12 runners and 3 possible pacesetters, both Chief Of Staff 7/2 and Cooperation 5/1 who like to front run could go well here and possibly do enough to make the frame but are not each way prices, Sovereign Slipper 13/2 might just need this run for fitness after nearly a year off so maybe worth laying. This is the kind of race where I lay 2 horses to cover the options, the improving 3yo ELDEYAAR 7/1 is another possible pacesetter and if getting to the front could prove very hard to catch being my top rated on Tapeta ratings from elsewhere while DARK SIDE THUNDER 11/2 is usually held up for a late run and is my top rated using just course and distance ratings so going with 2 bets seems the right way to go in this race.

Eldeyaar 10/1 9th -1pt

SOUTHWELL 3.05 Div II

This 2nd division is another competitive race for the class, the early pace could well be set by Ahlawi 8/1 but it would need to improve time wise but if allowed an easy lead from stall 3 it could be dangerous but I doubt that will happen with a few horses that like to track the leaders it should ensure there's a good early gallop, Twilight Secret 5/1 has been in good form lately but its best form has come on the Polytrack surface so I will look to lay this one especially if its a short price which is forecast, I am going to take a punt in this race with what will hopefully be an outsider, CHOOKIE DUNEDIN 14/1 (EW) who likes to track the leaders and then stay on at the finish, its been known to bounce back to form before without warning but did run quite well when finishing 3rd 2 runs ago and the trainer has a 19% win ratio here with their older horses and the jockey has a 2-7 record when riding for the stable and at the price has to put up as an each way punt.

SOUTHWELL 4.15

A full house of 14 for this dash with 5 known front runners Ooh Is It 6/1 can go well from the fore in its races but would need to improve time wise to win this race and might be worth laying, as for the winner I think this dash might be won from the front but I cannot split 2 horses *GIOGIOBBO 12/1 (EW) who is my top rated on ratings recorded over this course and distance and has been known before to win when coming back from a break from racing and *TRUE HERO 25/1 (EW) who is also coming back after a break from racing and i'm hoping this one will be an each way price as it has run well before after a break and the jockey booking looks significant as he has a 44% win ratio on the stables older horse and a good 38% win ratio on all ages that hes ridden and such big prices I will have to go with each way wagers.

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.15

This is a tricky looking sprint, 11 taking part with 3 known front running types, Spangled Mac 6/1 is forecast to be the favourite but I think it might be better served over a longer distance so one I would lay if of value to do so, Strong Power 9/1 produces higher ratings on Polytrack so might be another one to lay, Aberama Gold 9/1 is capable of producing a good rating but hasn't been at that level so far this year but still could go well if repeating its previous best. May Sonic is a possible pacesetter but this doesn't appear to be its favoured surface, Tippy Toes another possible pacesetter hasn't any form on this surface but its best from Lingfield on the Polytrack surface would make it competitive here and could possibly make the frame, this race could be ideal for DUBAI STATION 15/2 who likes to race in midfield or be held up for a late run and its best rating, recorded this year, would see it back in the winners circle.

Dubai Station 17/2 3rd -1pt

5:50 Hamilton Racing Tips (8th June)

HAMILTON 5.50

I very often look at these amateur jockey races and decide to leave them alone but for some unknown reason I analysed this one thoroughly and if I'm right I'm going to be glad I did, Deevious Beau 11/2 has poor form on turf but is the only one in the field known to front run but even with an easy lead I doubt it can hold on for the win, looking at the early tissue prices both How Bizarre 8/1 and Marwarl 11/2, who might need a longer distance to show their best form, are forecast to be single figure prices so I would look to lay them, my money will be riding on HARD SOLUTION 13/2 the trainer has a 20% win ratio at the course and the jockey is 4-8 on the stables older horses.

Hard Solution 7/1 6th -1pt

Lay bet How Bizarre +1pt

KEMPTON 6.30

Only 7 runners but I am not sure what will set the pace which is always a worry so I don't think I will be able to find anything to lay and as for the winner I would side with CAMACHESS 10/3 who likes to track the leader/s and then stay on the stronger at the finish and is my top rated and the jockey has a 4-11 strike rate for the stable which hopefully makes me think connections are expecting it to get back to winning ways here.

Camachess 10/3 3rd -1pt

HAMILTON 8.20

I can see two front runners in this field of nine in a class four race, I will start with something I will look to lay, Internationaldream 11/1, if its a single figure price, I could add Tipperary Tiger 9/2 to the list if the going is good to firm as it isn't its favoured surface, Ballyconneely Bay 9/1 is another that doesn't seem to like fast ground but could be a danger if the going was just genuinely good, my top rated is Jordon Electrics 3/1 who is one of the possible pace setters and would have been my bet in this race, it finished 2nd last time out but the time was relatively slow for this class of a race, the trainer is 0-16 in the last 2 weeks and its been 174 days since the stable last had a winner plus at this course the trainer is 1-20 and the jockey is 0-4 for the stable so I will be siding with CHOOKIE DUNEDIN 2/1 who won last time out and has been found a good opportunity to follow up here.

Chookie Dunedin 5/1 8th -1pt

Lay bet Internationaldream +1pt

HAMILTON 8.50

A six runner dash with half the field being front running sorts and in such a small field the draw wont make much difference, I will look to lay Joshua R 5/1 who might get outpaced in the early stages here and then stay on too late to pick up the leaders, Sixcor 3/1 could do best of those coming from off the pace seeing that its my 3rd top rated, Refuge 11/1 is my 2nd top rated and a possible pacesetter but I will be backing TANASOQ 9/2 who can lead but doesn't need to as its a versatile type, the jockey has a 17% win ratio for the stable so I'm hoping that's a good pointer.

3:25 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (11th October)

WOLVERHAMPTON 3.25

A field of 11 with just one known front running type and I think Mount Mogan 4/1 will set a decent pace to he race but I doubt it can hold on for the win as its not in my top 4 ratings so may be worth laying at the price, I will look to lay Under Curfew 11/2 who may find this distance too far for it and Seas Of Elzaam who might get outpaced here and will be staying on too late to get the win as long as they are single figure prices, Inaam will be staying on at the finish and is my joint 4th top rated along with Mr Trick who will also be staying on but maybe too late for the win and might struggle to make the frame if my top rated horses run to their best, The Lamplighter 12/1 sits in 3rd top spot and is another that usually runs on at the business end of a race and could be worth an each way bet at the price, the 3yo Royal Musketeer 9/1 comes out as 2nd top on my figures and usually tracks the leaders before keeping on strongly nearing the finish and might be worth an each way price as might my top rated CHOOKIE DUNEDIN 10/1 (EW) this one hasn't had a run over this course and distance this year but a repeat of its best time from last year would see it winning a shade cosily but the jockeys 0-6 record for this stable is a little off-putting so I will go with a small each way bet.

Chookie Dunedin 10/1 5th -2pts

KEMPTON 7.00

A poor turnout of just 7 runners but luckily there is one known front runner in the lineup, I would look to lay Ice Station Zebra 10/3 if it wasn't for it good trainer/jockey stats but I'm not sure this surface will suit it and at the price offered it might be of value to have a small lay on it, Treacherous 11/1 is my 3rd top rated using a time when it won in 2020, its sole run over this course and distance this year resulted in a slow time plus the jockeys 0-11 for the stable doesn't inspire confidence, Open Wide 13/2 is my 2nd top rated again using a 2020 time and usually runs on at the finish but this one also has a poor jockey stat this time its 1-26 so I will be relying on PAPA STOUR 11/2 who is my top rated using a time it recorded at Chelmsford this year and this one has got good jockey stats while the big plus is that's its the only known front running type in the race and has the plum stall one draw.

11:45 Lingfield Racing Tips (19th December)

LINGFIELD 11.45

A dash with 3 known front runners, I'm not sure A Go Go 3/1 can reproduce its form on this surface so worth a lay, Kaths Lustre 7/2 may need a longer trip therefore worth laying, Starchant and Fairy Fast are my joint 2nd top rated but both from times earlier in the season and they haven't shown much on their recent starts, my money will be riding on EQUALLY FAST 11/2 who is a possible pace setter and should be able to gain control of the rails and once in front it ought to prove hard to catch but the jockey Franny Norton is 0-10 for this stable which surprises me but it surely that must just be a coincidence and he has a chance to break his duck for the stable here.

Equally Fast 11/2 5th (-1pt)

Total: -1pt

LINGFIELD 1.25

A very competitive class 2 race i can only see Lomu 10/1 to lay if it drops to a single figure price, time wise I might also take on Premier Power 5/4 it has been in good form but none of its races were as fast as some of these can go on a good day and if favourite wont be of value and its even a shorter than i anticipated, Brian The Snail could stay on at the finish and is going for a hattrick of wins here, i will take a wild punt in this race by backing MERHOOB 12/1 (EW) each way, it has led before and from stall 4 could even grab the rails if it can beat the stall 2 horse out of the stalls, it has the fastest c/d figure for 2020 and that would be 2nd best overall but its best from 2019 pushes it back into top spot.

Merhoob 12/1 7th (-2pts)

WOLVERHAMPTON 5.00 Div I

Quite a poor race where on tissue prices 8 of the 11 runners are predicted to be double figure prices and my top two are in the 3 that are fancied in the betting, The Mackem Torpedo 2/1 could be the favourite but i think it might need further to show its best and might be worth taking on with a lay bet and at the price isn't value to back in my opinion, i will be backing 2 horses to cover the angles, ROCKESBURY 13/2 could be the one to set the pace, it hasn't run here before so not 100% sure what to expect but its best time from Chelmsford makes it my top rated on overall figures so could lead all the way if not then my 2nd top rated horse KNOCKABOUT QUEEN 7/2 who is top rated on just c/d times and it was recorded this year which is always a positive.

Knockabout Queen 13/2 7th (-1pt)

WOLVERHAMPTON 5.30 Div II

This is a strange race where there's not a single horse that has a recorded c/d time from 2020 so I've had to go back to 2019 to find Billyoakes 6/1 best time while in its defence it has only had one c/d run this year so it could make the frame but the trainer/jockey stats are quite low and the price isn't really big enough to back each way, Miracle Garden is my joint top rated horse once again using a 2019 time but again the trainer doesn't have the greatest of stats at this course which leaves me with SWANTON BLUE 28/1 (EW) and this ones time was recorded this year but at Chelmsford and if it takes to this course it could be worth a small each way wager especially at the price on offer.

Swanton Blue 28/1 1pt EW (+4.6pts)

WOLVERHAMPTON 6.00

This is a decent looking class 4 race with just one known front runner in Mythmaker 5/1 who is my joint 3rd top rated horse alongside A Sure Welcome 4/1 who likes to track the leaders and both could make the frame if things go their way but neither are each way prices in my opinion, sitting in 2nd top spot is Steelriver 12/1 but its only by 1lb and this one can be held up or track the leaders so could make the frame and is an each way price but my money will be riding on CHOOKIE DUNEDIN 4/1 who won last time out and has been found a good opportunity to follow up here, stall 10 isn't ideal but a repeat of its time last time out would see it winning this race a shade cosily.

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.30

Sprint number 6 for the day, there's only 11 runners but its a race where I will have to dutch a few of them, ZULU ZANDER 10/1 is top rated on just 2020 c/d times so has to be included and its versatile when it comes to racing tactics, ANOTHER ANGEL 7/2 could be the one to set the early pace and is my 2nd top rated on overall figures and could make the frame but isnt an each way price then add BALLYARE 11/2 into the mix as this one is top rated using a Newcastle time but its best c/d time isn't good enough to even make the frame, I hope I've got the winner within the three selections but my stakes wont be at full strength.

2:10 Ayr Racing Tips (24th August)

AYR 2.10

RUM RUNNER hasn't any distance form and its form and breeding suggest it might need further to show its true worth.

QUEEN OF KALAHARI has a time from 2020 that is relatively slow and that might be because it doesn't like good to firm going.

ERICH BLOCH has only slow times at this distance and it either needs a longer trip or a slower surface to slow others and at 8/1 I would lay it.

NORDIC FIRE has only poor recent form and is a maiden on the turf after 7 runs and it looks like another horse that needs further to shine.

BLACK FRIDAY has only slow times on recent runs over this distance and cut in the ground or a longer trip to show its best.

WHERES MICK (3yo) has a slow time at this distance at Newcastle and maybe another that needs a longer trip to show its true merit.

CHOOKIE DUNEDIN 13/2 has a rating of 61 from 2020 which goes up to 80 from 2019 times so has to be respected.

NUBOUGH has slow times at this distance and very poor form so far this year plus a longer trip might help.

MR WAGYU has a 64 rating for this year, 72 from 2019 and 86 in 2018 so could win this race but not on times from 2091/20 but could make the frame and it is one of 3 known front-running types.

BE PROUD 13/2 has the top rating of 68 from just 2020 which means this has to be on my shortlist of the potential winner.

JORDAN ELECTRICS has the best figure of 67 from 2019 and this frontrunner could go well here and could do enough to make the frame.

BARBARELLA (3yo) has only slow times at this distance it may like some cut in the ground and dropping back to 5 furlongs might also help.

GALLOWAY HILLS is the 3rd possible pacesetter but hasn't shown much timewise this year but a rating of 75 from 2019 would put it in the mix but that time might have been a one-off.

WADI AL SALAAM (3yo) has the 2nd highest rating of 67 from just 2020 times so could be competitive in this race.

LEZARDRIEUX (3yo) I wouldn't lay this 3yo as it could easily improve but hasn't any decent times to its name.

SUMMARY: There is quite a few in this race that I could lay if the going is good to firm but I doubt it will be that fast if the going is good to firm then I would have a sole selection in MR WAGYU 11/2 who could lead all the way, it actually starts off as my 2nd top-rated on just 2020 times but the apprentices 5lb claim moves it to top spot, my 2nd selection CHOOKIE DUNEDIN 13/2 doesn't want the going to be too fast so could go well if the going is good and no faster, so between them, they should cover both going angles and if it's any worse than good we won't be betting.

5:25 Chelmsford - Free Horse Racing Tips (11th December)

CHELMSFORD 5.25

LOULIN has no form on this surface. Ruth Carr's four-year-old may possibly need a longer trip to show its best. However, I certainly couldn't lay it in this race.

SARSAPARILLA KIT is a three-year-old who could still improve and comes out fourth-best on my speed figures and should be staying on at the finish over this trip.

INVISIBLE STORM only has slow course and distance times and may need a longer trip to show its worth and worthing laying if priced 10/1 & less sp.

KYLLUKEY will be staying on strongly at the business end of this race for Charlie Wallis' stable and top-rated on my speed figures. This three-times winning son of Kyllachy has Jason Hart in the saddle which looks positive booking.

STORM LIGHTNING is another horse with slow course and distance times to its name and looks to need a longer trip to show its merit (so one to lay at 9/2).

SING BERTIE has slow course and distance times and hasn't won so far in its thirteen races and may need further. Derek Shaws' three-year-old has been placed three times from ten AW races but not for me.

ASK THE GURU could well set the pace but hasn't been in great form lately but could feasibly make the frame at 12/1 an each-way price.

REMISSION is another three-year-old who may need a longer trip but only has a slow course and distance time to its name. This gelding hasn't made the frame in its five previous AW races.

SPENNY'S LASS is my second top-rated horse and the apprentice's 3lb claim would make it top rated. However, it is a worry jockey Darragh Keenan has a 1-25 record for John Ryan's stable when riding older horses.

SUGAR PLUM FAIRY has no distance form to work with and is 0-5 on the AW tracks.

Another horse that looks to want further (so a lay if under 10/1) is TINA TEASPOON who is still a maiden after nineteen attempts.  I doubt things will change for this mare in this race.

SUMMARY: I'm not going to be betting too heavily in this race although I've got negatives against every horse barring Sarsaprilla Kit my 4th top-rated, Spennys Lass who could set the pace but the jockey's record is a worry which leaves me with KYLLUCKEY 11/2 who will be staying on strongly at the finish if its past form is anything to go by so will be carrying my money.

Kylluckey 14/1 6th
