1:45 Newcastle Racing Tips (26th June)

NEWCASTLE 1.45

A nice looking class 2 race with 14 runners, there is 3 known front runners, Mountain Brave, Magical Spirit and Major Jumbo and the latter may do best of the trio but I doubt it can hold on for the win, Staxton and Mondammej could both run a big race and could make the frame but I will be backing FLEETING PRINCE 11/1 who is dropped in class to run in this race and is my 2nd top rated on just 2021 times and has good trainer/jockey stats so connections I think are expecting a big run but I do have the 3yo VICTORY HEIGHTS 18/1 rated 4lbs higher using its best time from 2020 and will admittedly have to bounce back to form to win compared to its 2 runs this year on turf and I'm hoping the switch back to the AW will see it find its best form again and its a race where I will be having two small each way bets.

NEWCASTLE 2.20

A Group 3 sprint with 3, or possibly 4 front runners in the race and two of my top 3 are possible pacesetters but my top 3 ratings all get their ratings on different surfaces to today's, Khaadem who has good trainer stats but isn't a front running type is my 2nd top rated it gets its best time from the turf and is making its debut on the AW, Highland Dress is my 3rd top rated and has good trainer and jockey stats but top rated is GOOD EFFORT 9/1 who has very good trainer/jockeys stats and its best time comes from Lingfield, if I stick to just those that have times over this c/d my top rated is BRANDO so I'm hoping this race might be one where a couple of each ways bets might be worthwhile and pays dividends.

CHESTER 2.45

There is 4 known front running types in this field of 8, I would look to lay Charlie Fellows 9/1 even though being a 3yo it is always a bit of a gamble as I'm not sure its really up to this class of racing, Caroline Dale is a possible pacesetter and my 3rd top rated and housed in stall 4, Cuban Breeze is in stall 2 and could gain control of the rails being another front running type while my top rated is GLAMOROUS ANNA 9/2 drawn in stall 6 and IF, yes it is a big if, this one does get to the front it could prove hard to catch but my stakes will be on the low side because of all the uncertainties in the race.

Glamorous Anna 7/1 7th -1pt

CHESTER 5.40

I am not a fan of betting at this course as the draw can be so cruel at times, I will look to lay Sir Maximillian who I think was flattered when finishing 2nd last time out in a slow run race, Equally Fast, Spoof and Thegreatestshowman are all capable of running big races and could make the frame if others falter, I think that DARK SHOT 13/2 will be the one to set the pace and is my top rated using its best time from Leicester last year and with an easy lead could pinch the race from the front but I do have MOONRAKER 33/1 rated higher and this one is a rule unto itself but is capable if in the mood and the day you don't back it is the day it bolts home at a big price plus at the price it might be worth having an each way punt.

Dark Shot 13/2 5th -1pt

DONCASTER 7.15

A class 4 race with 13 runners and 2 known front runners, I will look to lay Dave Dexter 15/2 who may find this distance too far for it as will Global Warning 8/1, I have 6 horses with positive marks alongside their names, Giogiobbo could front run but the trainers record here is 1-54, Mohaareb will be staying on at the finish but lacks a little time wise, TURANGA LEELA 10/1 is the one I expect to set the pace and could be dangerous with an easy lead, The Lamplighter is my 2nd top rated using its best time from 2020 but its best time form this year is 2nd best on just 2021 times, Big Les has decent trainer+ jockey stats but may lack the pace to pick the leaders up but my top rated is TREACHEROUS 16/1 using a time from Goodwood last year and I think it was quietly fancied last time out at Ripon where for some unknown reason it ran poorly was eased significantly in the closing stages but has been found a chance to get back to winning ways in this race but I am a little worried by the jockeys 0-8 record for the stable.

5:50 Bath Racing Tips (23rd June)

BATH 5.50

THE NOSEY PARKER 8/1 I think this one might be better when racing over a longer distance but in its defence it hasn't run on good or good to firm ground at this distance but one i will look to lay.

EQUALLY FAST 7/2 has a time from Chepstow that makes it my top rated on just 2021 times which is always a positive and 3rd best overall, it is usually held up for a late run.

CORONATION COTTAGE 16/1 looks the most likely pacesetter in the race and using its best time from 2020 it comes out in 2nd top spot so could go well from the front and at the price might be worth an each way punt.

DANA FOREVER 9/1 has only poor recent form and its only run over this distance on good ground didn't produce a time fast enough to register on my figures.

HEER WE GO AGAIN 11/1 has a time from Windsor this year which would make it my 4th top rated but has a good few spots to make up to win this race.

MYSTIFY ME 7/2 a 3yo who comes 5th best on my figures so would need to improve time wise to win this race but it could possibly do so.

HOT SCOOP 6/1 another 3yo who races as though a longer distance would suit it better when racing on good to firm ground but I couldn't lay it as it could still improve.

MOONRAKER 15/2 comes out in top spot using a time recorded over this c/d in 2020 it is capable of winning this race but isn't one to rely to be honest as it has disappointed before.

GHERKIN 1/1 hasn't any form over this distance and would perhaps be better when tried over a longer distance.

CHERISH 15/2 it has only slow times over this c/d on good to firm ground and is another that may need a longer distance to show its best.

SUMMARY: I will look to lay the top weight The Nosey Parker 8/1 as I am convinced it needs a longer distance when racing on good to firm ground, betting wise I cannot see any other way than to back 3 runners in this race, EQUALLY FAST 7/2 is my top rated on just 2012 times and the trainer has a decent 17% win ratio with their older horses at this track and the jockey has a 20% win ratio again on all rides for the stable so it makes me think they are expecting a big run but it is only 3rd best on my overall figures but this years times are at times more valuable, CORONATION COTTAGE 16/1 is my 2nd top rated and I think its the one that will set the pace to the race and if allowed an easy lead it could steal the race from the front and has to be worth an each way punt, MOONRAKER 15/2 is my top rated on overall figures and this ones best time was recorded over this c/d which is always a valuable pointer and on its day it is capable of winning this race and if guaranteed to run to its former best it would be my sole bet but it has run poorly before for no apparent reason, I hope you can see there is a valued reason why each one of my three selections could win this race so dutching them looks the best way to attack this race.

Equally Fast 8/1 6th -1pt
Coronation Cottage 25/1 7th -1pt

4:55 Musselburgh Racing Tips (5th June)

MUSSELBURGH 4.55

As usual I will stick with my own unique speed figure handicap ratings which gives VICTORY ANGEL 7/2 as my top rated, its usually held up for a late run and with 3 possible pacesetters this race could be run to suit it, the only downside is the trainers 0-6 record at this course and the jockeys 0-8 record on this stables horses both Eeh Bah Gum and Militia could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead but they might also cut each others throats and set the race up for my selection.

Victory Angel 7/2 1st +3.5pts (Betfair SP -)

Total +3.5pts

CHEPSTOW 6.00

Looking at the tissue prices I will look to lay Aguerooo15/2 and Finvarca 8/1 who both might do better over longer distances as long as they are single figure prices, another lay could be Captain Ryan 13/2 who I tipped up and backed when it won last time out on the AW but it hasn't won since 2016 on grass and has shown very little since then on its sporadic ventures onto the turf and I think this expected favourite could be worth laying, Glamorous Force is my 4th top rated but only 1lb below my joint 2nd and 3rd top rated horses Top Boy, but I had to go back to 2019 for this ones best time, and Blue Venture and this one could be the one to set the pace and should prove hard to catch if getting to the front but my top rated is AQUADABRA 9/2 who recorded a time in 2020 at Bath that would see it winning this race a shade cosily, the poor trainer/jockey stats are a bit off-putting but I am hoping an each way punt could pay dividends.

Aquadabra 11/2 1pt ew +0.5pts

CHEPSTOW 6.30

A 9 runner dash with 3 known front running types in the race and Davids Beauty could go best of the trio but this ones best is only good enough for 4th top spot, I will look to lay Flip Mode as I don't think good to firm going suits it but I will need to check the going on the day before laying this one, Bellevarde is my 3rd top rated and the apprentice jockeys 5lb claim moves it to 2nd top spot, my original 2nd top rated was Show Me The Bubbly but this one jockeys record of 1-13 for the stable looks a negative, MOONRAKER 2/1 starts off as my top rated and the apprentices 3lb claim keeps it at top spot and it usually likes to track the leaders and the stay on strongly at the finish of the race but I do hope it drifts as I was hoping for about 5/1.

2:55 Nottingham Racing Tips & Lay Bets (30th September)

NOTTINGHAM 2.55

A big field of 17 runners with a couple of known front runners plus another that would lead if nothing else wanted to so it should be a true run race, the 2 at the bottom of the handicap may be outclassed here so i would lay both (*Production + Case Key) if in single figure prices, of the front runners maybe Belated Breath will do best and could possibly hang on for a place if getting an easy lead, I've got joint 2nd top rated horses in Mokaatil who recorded its best last year while One Night Stand recorded its best time this year at Windsor but my money will be riding, as usual, on my top rated horse BIMBLE 3/1 this progressive 3yo recorded its best time this year at Goodwood and a repeat of that time would see it back into the winners circle.

NOTTINGHAM 4.05

This is a very hard race to analyse to a conclusion, i would look to lay (Commander Han + The Defiant) the former may need a longer trip and the latter maybe outclassed in this class 5 race, theres 5 horses that have been known to lead before so it should be a fast and furious dash, Nibras Again comes out 3rd top on overall times so could be in the mix, Moonraker is top rated on just 2020 times over this distance so must be considered, Dapper Man is a possible pacesetter and has a fast time from 2019 which could make it hard to catch but its form so far this year has been way below that level, Shoot To Kill is a 3yo that comes out 2nd top rated on just 2020 times but only 4th top overall but recent form is probably more relevant, i will go with dutching SHOOT TO KILL 11/2, DAPPER MAN 5/1 and MOONRAKER 16/1 but even then my stakes wont be at full strength.

Dapper Man 5/1 2nd (-1pt)
Moonraker 66/1 Unp (-1pt)

3:30 Redcar Racing Tips (17th September)

REDCAR 3.30 (7.7)

This race doesn't look one to get too heavily involved in betting wise, 4 of the 9 runners have led before and my top 2 ratings are possible pacesetters, Mutabaahy is well weighted on its best times but its on a losing run of 20 and the trainers 1-40 record at this course makes me think this race isn't its target to get back to winning ways, Kolossus, Magical Effect and Golden Parade could run ok but my 2nd top-rated is Gullane One and this front runner likes fast g/f ground to show its best as does MR WAGYU 9/1 and this ones trainer has a 15% ratio here with the stables older horses and the jockeys win ratio is 16% so I'm hoping that's a pointer to them expecting a big run in this race and its big enough price to back each way.

YARMOUTH 4.40 (7.4)

Only 7 runners and 4 of them are 3-year-olds, Victory Rose is my 3rd top-rated while in 2nd top position I've got Global Hope who likes to track the leaders but my top rated horse is the only known frontrunner in the race so I'm hoping that ALLISEEISNIBRAS 16/1 can lead from start to finish and get back to winning ways and the trainer has a 3-9 record with his 3-year-olds at this course and I cannot work out why its such a big price.

YARMOUTH 5.10 (7.4)

Down to 6 runners for this race but there is a couple of known frontrunners in the race and my selection does like a decent pace to aim at, Case Key could lead or contest the lead but I'm not sure it can lead all the way here, Excellent Goerge usually runs on at the finish and is my 3rd top-rated, the topweight Merry Banter is the other possible pacesetter and being my 2nd top-rated it could prove hard to catch for most of these but I do have MOONRAKER 16/1 as my top rated and this one is a hold up type and should be staying on the stronger at the finish its a shame there's not enough runners to go each way.
