3:00 Chepstow Racing Tips (30th August)

Nine runner dash for a class 6 race, I can see 4 that have been known to lead before, Willingly has won its last 2 races but both were relatively slow run races and the official handicapper might have caught up with it but I'm not 100% sure whether to lay it or not, Coronation Cottage my 4th top rated could try to lead and could make the frame if others falter, the 3yo Hattie C comes out in 3rd top spot so could stay on nearing the finish to make the frame so might be worth an each way punt, Shesadabber another front running type comes out in 2nd top spot on my figures but GLAMOROUS FORCE 15/2 hinted at a return to form when finishing 3rd last time out and if ready and able to reproduce its best 2021 rating recorded at Bath it would get back to winning ways.

I expect the front running Mark's Choice 5/2 will be the favourite to win this race but it only comes out 4th top on my figures so might be worth taking on with a lay bet, Surprise Picture 9/1 is my 3rd top rated who likes to track the leaders and could be worth an each way punt, Bossipop is another possible pacesetter and comes out in 2nd top spot on my figures using its best time from Hamilton last year but my money will be on my top rated horse MAJESKI MAN 5/1 who likes to track the leaders before staying on the stronger at the finish and did hint at a return to form when finishing 2nd last time out.

Only 7 runners but 4 of them have been known to lead before so it should be a fast and furious race, with a fast pace I will look to lay La Roco Del Fuego who can struggle to stay the sixth furlong even though this is a relatively easy fast course, Boogie Time a possible front runner is my 3rd top rated but would need to improve time wise to win this race, Reparted is my 2nd top rated so could do best of those trying to come from off the pace, I will be hoping that BLISSFUL SONG 11/2 has been found an ideal opportunity to follow up its win last time out and the trainer does quite well with a 29% strike rate at this course.

Class 5 dash with 12 runners and 4 known front running types, I'm not sure if I can find anything of value to lay but the betting will be the final piece of data to complete the picture, Canaria Prince is my 3rd top rated and a possible pacesetter and it could do enough from the front to make the frame, Mutashaaweq is my 2nd top rated and ran two fast times at Hamilton on good to firm ground but hasn't been anywhere near that form on any other course, my money will be riding on LATIN FIVE 11/1 who won the time before last and finished 5th last time out when not getting a clear run at a critical time and still wasn't beaten far and has been found a good opportunity to get back to winning ways in this race.

BRIGHTON 1.00 

A 6 runner race where half the field have been known to lead, Porfin 7/2 who won last time out may be better over further and could get outpaced here at the minimum distance, Haveoneyerself 9/2 and Newyorkstateofmind 5/1 have both been in poor form recently and would need to improve time wise to win this race, Shamshon 15/2 seems a much better prospect in lower class races which leaves me with Street Parade 9/4 who is my 2nd top rated and is one that likes to lead as does my top rated horse POP DANCER 4/1 and if this one gets to the front it ought to prove hard to catch.

The usual poor grade 6 stakes race where the top official rating is just 50 and only 3 of the runners are rated that high, Thegreyvtrain is my 3rd top rated but has been fading near the finish in every race lately and I doubt that will change here but it could make the frame if others falter, Mr Pc 9/2 and Fossos 8/1 are my 4th top rated and the latter is a front running type while the former is one of the 3 horses rated 50 so they could both run ok here, Notra Maison 5/1 is another 50 rated horse and my 2nd top rated so it could make the frame if reproducing its best, the 3rd and final horse rated 50 is the 3yo HATTIE C 12/1 who can be held up or track the leaders and comes out in top spot on my speed ratings and a reproduction of its rating 2022 rating at Salisbury would see it return to winning ways and at the price I have to go with an each way wager.

A class 6 race with 9 runners over the minimum distance with two known front running types, the top weight So Grateful 2/1 might need further to show its best and at that price I would be prepared to take the risk and lay it, Harrogate 7/1 will be staying on at the finish and could run on into a place so might be worth an each way bet, Duke Of Firenze hasn't been in such good form so far this year but its best rating from 2021 would see it make the frame, Mews House 8/1 has been known to lead before but time wise it would need to improve to win this race but could be a another contender to make the frame, Birdie Bowers 15/2 who is my 2nd top rated is the one I think will set the pace to this race and could make the frame from the front but I will be backing USTATH 5/1 who finished 2nd last time out behind Birdie Bowers but is weighted here to reverse the form and is my top rated using just course and distance times since the new surface was laid at the end of last year.

4:35 Chepstow Racing Tips (18th August)

CHEPSTOW 4.35 

WILLINGLY 9/4 usually likes to track the leaders but would need to improve time wise to win this race but has won over today's distance.

SECRET HANDSHEIKH 5/1 another that likes to track the leaders but needs to improve time wise and a longer distance might suit it better. 

UBAHHA 9/2 is a hold up type who comes out in 4th top spot on my own unique speed figure ratings and could make the frame if others falter. 

GLAMOROUS BREEZE 12/1 can be held up at the rear of the field or race in midfield and should stay on enough to make the frame being my second top rated. 

SHESADABBER 15/2 one of three known front running types in this race and it comes out in third top spot on my ratings and with an easy lead could even win the race from the front. 

SECRETFACT 13/2 who can be held up or track the leaders comes out in top spot on my ratings and a repeat of its best figure Windsor this year would see it winning this race.

FOSSOS 33/1 is the second of the possible pacesetters in this race but would need to improve time wise to win this race. 

MASTER SULLY 5/1 finished second last time out but has poor form over today's distance and looks to prefer a longer distance. 

THE GOLDEN CUE 40/1 the third possible pacesetter but hasn't shown anything worthwhile time wise since 2019. 

SUMMARY: I expect Shesadabber to be the one to set the pace to this race and being my 3rd top rated could do enough from the front to make the frame here, Glamorous Breeze will be trying to stay on at the finish and could make the frame but i will be hoping that SECRETFACT 13/2 can reproduce its best figure from Windsor and get back to winning ways.

1:10 Thirsk Racing Tips (22nd July)

THIRSK 1.10 

Typical a nice looking sprint until I noticed there's not any known front running types in this race but that means this race might not be run to suit Dandy Spirit, Foreseeable Future and Gullane One who might be better over further or when there's a fast pace over this distance although the latter has never run over today's distance before, Country Charm who usually races in midfield is my third top rated in this race so could make the frame as could Orchid rose my second top rated in this race but i will be putting my faith and a small amount of money on COLEY'S KOKO 25/1 (EW) and if it can reproduce its best from this year it should win this race but if reproducing its best speed figure from Ripon in 2021 it would win this race with a bit too spare but at such a big price it has to be worth an each way punt.

With known front runners drawn in stalls 1,2,12 and 14 the pace should be spread across the course so nothing should be at a disadvantage, of those front running types Bossipop in stall 1 and Rhythm in stall 14 could do best of those running to the fore especially as the latter is my 3rd top rated, as for any lays Good Earth 9/2 needs to improve time wise and might struggle to stay the distance with a fast early pace, Lezardieux is my 4th top rated but this race might not be run to suit it, Captain Vallo comes out in 2nd top spot position so might be worth an each way punt but my money will be riding on DREAM TOGETHER 14/1 (EW) who likes to fast good to firm ground and likes to track the leaders before staying on the stronger at the finish and hopefully it will be an each way price.

There looks to be 3 front running types in this race and they are my 3 top rated horses as well so most of the runners wont be able to get involved in the finish, I might look to lay Rhubarb in this race as it might be better when racing over further, the top weight Amor De Mi Vida could be the one to prosper if they go off too fast and fade nearing the finish but I doubt that will happen, I have only 1lb between my 3rd top rated Coronation Cottage and my 2nd top rated Pop Dancer but if the 3yo FAIR AND SQUARE 6/1 can reproduce the rating it recorded at Windsor earlier this year it would win this race a shade cosily.

4:45 Newmarket Racing Tips (8th July)

NEWMARKET 4.45 

With 6 known front runners in this race it could be a fast and furious dash, it looks mighty competitive race so not one to be betting too heavily in, Tees Spirit has been in good form lately but the handicapper might have it in its grip now so it could run ok but maybe not enough to win so maybe one to lay, Ancient Times one of the possible pacesetters could go well from those that like to race to the fore and might be worth an each way interest but I will be hoping another front running type LIHOU 12/1 (EW) who won last time out can follow up that win here and it does have good trainer/jockey stats and makes me think connections think it can win this race and at the price it has be given as an each way wager.

I can see 4 and possibly 5 horses that could set the pace to this race, I will be looking to lay Ghathanfar who looks a much better prospect over 6 furlongs so may get outpaced in this race and then stay on too late for the win, Albegone is capable of producing a good speed figure and has my highest speed figure but in lower class races than today's so it may get outclassed in this race while King Of Tonga needs to improve time wise and may be better over further, James Watt comes out in 4th top spot and could make the frame here, VAN GERWEN 18/1 (EW) is my 3rd top rated and likes to track the leaders before staying on strongly at the finish but i do have the front running type Modular Magic (non-runner) rated higher and if this one gets to the front it could prove hard to catch and can hopefully hold on for the win and if it wasn't for the trainers 0-6 record at this course it would probably have been my sole bet in this race but the jockey does do well for the stable. With the non-runner I will now be going with an each way punt on Van Gerwen hoping it stays on strongly enough at the finish to pick up the leaders.

WOW what a class 3 race this is, I can see 3 horses that like to lead, I'm not sure if I can find anything of value to lay although Mitrosonfire 9/1 came very close to being one but I expect it might be a double figure price, looking at my speed figure ratings Tanmawwy, Asad, Epsom Faithful, Lucky Man and Treacherous are all closely rated and it could be fine margins of luck in running that could decide this race but if either Antiphon or Emperor Spirit get an easy lead they could pinch this race from the front especially the latter one who is my top rated but the trainers 1-31 with its older horses at this course is a bit off-putting but it does have good jockey stats so I will be hoping that EMPEROR SPIRIT 6/1 can either lead or at least contest the lead from the off and stay on the stronger at the finish and this race is a drop down in class from its recent run.

For a class 6 race this one looks quite good with 3 known front running types it should be a true run race, I could look to lay Louis Treize 15/2 who might need further to show its best and get outpaced here in the early stages and then try to stay on at the finish but I expect too late to catch the leaders, Rhubarb 7/2 won last time out over a longer distance and may be under-priced on the back of that win and I will be looking to lay it, Liberty Bay and Fossos two known pace setting types are my 5th and 4th top rated and will ensure there's a fast early pace, Astrophysics my 3rd top rated and Our Man In Havana my 2nd top rated will be trying to stay on strongly at the finish and could make the frame but i will be pinning my hopes on the chances of the top weighted CORONATION COTTAGE 8/1 leading from start to finish, it would just win on its best 2022 rating but if able to reproduce its best rating from Bath in 2020 it would win with a bit to spare.

3:21 Musselburgh Racing Tips (4th June)

MUSSELBURGH 3.21 

There's now 14 runners in this race with 4 front running types amongst them and this race looks very likely to be won from the front, I cannot see anything of value to lay as I expect them all to be in double figure prices, I've got joint 3rd top rated horses in Ancient Times who is a possible pacesetter and Indian Sounds who could do best of those coming from off the pace, COPPER KNIGHT 12/1 (EW) in stall 15 is my 2nd top rated which it recorded earlier this year at Haydock but MODULAR MAGIC 10/1 (EW) in stall 2 comes out top rated but only by 2lbs and that was recorded over this course and distance but was recorded in 2021 and its one run so far this year was quite a bit below that level, so i have one drawn high and one drawn low so that covers that angle and at the prices I have to put it up as two each way wagers.

From the 13 runners in this race I will be looking to lay Sixcor who won last time out but maybe better over a longer distance but is my 3rd top rated, also Lord Of The Glen who may also prefer further and looks a better prospect when there is some cut in the ground,The Gloaming sits in 4th top spot on my figures and usually likes to track the leaders, the early pace could well be set by the top weight Eeh Bah Gum and it could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead especially as it comes out in 2nd top spot on my ratings but if MOKAMAN can repeat its best rating Ripon last year it would win with a bit in hand and the trainer has a good strike rate at this course.

I hope all 8 runners take part and I can see a couple of known front runners in the field, Our Man In Havana and Monsieur Fantasie both race as though a further distance would suit them better but the former is my 2nd top rated who won last time out and could run into a place here if gaining a clear run when trying to stay on at the finish and could win if others falter while I could look to lay the latter as it would need to improve time wise, Fittleton Ferry comes out in 3rd top spot and will also be trying to stay on at the finish but I will be hoping that SHESADABBER 16/1 (EW) can get away smartly and then lead all the way for victory and at the price it has to be an each way punt.

2:20 Chepstow Racing Tips (10th May)

CHEPSTOW 2.20 

I will start with those that I will be looking to lay, Mashaan 13/2 may be better over further and hasn't been in good form of late, Kool Moe Dee 13/2 has only slow times over this distance because with a decent early gallop it struggles to stay the distance and the same applies to Port Noir 10/1 any others will I expect to be double figure priced outsiders, if it wasn't for the fact that the trainer hasn't had a winner from 22 runners over 122 days I would be backing AMATHUS 20/1 as my sole bet but because it does have good trainer stats at this course of 18% and good jockey stats 22% win ratio, I will be backing it along with 2 others, SWEET PURSUIT 25/1 this ones trainer is 1-24 in the last 2 weeks but does have a 18% win ratio at this course and the jockey is 2-9 and 1-2 on the stables older horses, MAC'S DILEMMA 3/1 is my top rated using just 2022 speed figures so has to be considered as the possible winner and it also has good trainer 17% and jockey 38% stats, I cannot see any other way forward other than backing all 3 of them so hopefully again looking at the early tissue prices I will go with 2 each way bets and one win bet.

BEVERLEY 3.10 

There isn't a great deal of data to work with for a fair few in this race which is a bit off-putting, I can see a couple of possible pacesetters in Jean's Maite and Refuge but I doubt either could lead all the way for the victory but the pace not be the fastest of gallops which wont help me analyse the race properly, after narrowing down as best I could I came up with Son And Sannie 13/8 but according to the early tissue prices it looks likely to be the favourite and I doubt it will of value to back in my opinion so it might be best to leave this race alone. 

LINGFIELD 6.15 

I can only see Harbour Storm 13/2 leading this race, unless something else changes its usual running tactics, but I doubt it will be able to lead all the way as it seems to be better on the Tapeta surface and would need others to falter to even make the frame so one to lay if a single figure price, using the early tissue prices as a guide I will be hoping to lay Perfect Symphony 8/1 who might find the distance too far for it and San Juan 7/1 may also struggle to stay the distance, Maahle Vee, Independence Day and Bungledupinblue are my joint 3rd and 2nd top rated horses but I will be backing GRIGGY 5/1 who is usually held up for a late run and is drawn in the adjacent stall to the one I think will lead so could get a good tow into the race and after being ridden by apprentice jockeys recently the jockey booked for this race has a 3 wins from 7 races for the stable and 3 from 6 with the stables older horses so it looks that connections are expecting it to get back to winning ways.

3:25 Musselburgh Racing Tips (28th April)

MUSSELBURGH 3.25 

A poor turnout of just 6 runners and the problem of no known front running types in the race which always makes analysis very much harder, I think The Thin Blue Line 3/1 might prefer some cut in the ground and it might be too short for Bossipop 11/1 so I could look to lay both of them, Primo's Comet 6/1 can handle good going but isn't so keen on good to firm ground so another that I could lay if its fast ground, Cool Spirit and Good Luck Fox are in joint 2nd top spot but I will be relying on ATLYAH 9/4 who won last time out on an AW surface a word of warning is that it hasn't won from 6 tries on grass but a repeat of its best Ripon time from 2021 would see it winning with a bit in hand.

A nice race for a class 6 affair where I can see 2 or possibly 3 runners that have been known to lead before although I do think they will only be setting the race up for something coming from off the pace, I don't think its a race where you should be betting very heavily and maybe the lays are the way to make a profit from this race I've got Kodiak Attack 7/1 who needs to improve time wise may prefer the Tapeta surface compared to this Polytrack surface plus has poor jockey 0-3 and trainer 0-20 with its older horses stats, San Juan 4/1 seems better on the Tapeta surface but does have good jockey stats so it will be a small lay and Perfect Symphony 11/2 who might prefer further, who might all be of value to lay, I will be having a small bet on REAL ESTATE 7/1 who recorded its best rating over this course and distance which is always a bonus.

Capla Spirit 6/1 may find this distance too far with the fast pace I expect to be applied in this race while Legende D’Art 6/1 may need further to show its best so both might be worth laying if of value price wise, there's only 2lbs between Stone Circle, Storm Melody and Mr Fayez so they could be each way chances but I will be hoping that SOYOUNIQUE 10/3 can set the pace here and lead all the way for a victory, it has good trainer 16% and jockey 19% stats which is usually a positive and a reproduction of its best rating from Lingfield this year it would win a shade cosily.

Not a bad looking class 5 race with one known front runner among the 10 runners, both Ruby Cottage 5/1 and Sweet Pursuit 10/1 may need this run for race fitness and worth laying if single figure prices especially the latter who has needed its 1st run after a break every time so far, there's 5 horses that have been in poor form in their recent races which narrows the field down but I expect those 5 will all be double figure prices, Some Nightmare 7/4 might go ok here and could make the frame but isn't an each way price, I will be splitting my money in this race between VAPE 5/2 who is my top rated but doesn't have the best trainer/jockey stats and the trainer hasn't had a winner in the last 2 weeks while TAWAAFOQ 13/2 is the one that could set the pace to this race, it has won before first time after coming back from a break and has been known to win before without giving any warning about coming back to form and the trainer does have a decent 19% strike rate at this course.

1:10 Doncaster Racing Tips (9th September)

DONCASTER 1.10 

A class 3 race for female jockeys and my selection is being ridden by one of the top jockettes, I will look to lay Pivoting and Rocket Action if they are single figure prices which I very much doubt, so maybe the best lay will be Citron Major 15/2 who doesn't seem to like good to firm ground the early pace could well be set by Giogiobbo and unless its allowed a very easy time in front I doubt it can hold on for the win, Call Me Ginger 7/2 comes out 3rd top rated on a time it recorded when winning at Hamilton but I doubt it will be an each way price, Embour 15/2 is my 2nd top rated and again its using a time recorded at Hamilton so might just about be worth an each way bet, my money will be riding on LORD P 9/4 who recorded a time when winning at Carlisle which would see it winning this race quite cosily and the trainer is in good form with a 7-18 record for the last 2 weeks.

A 7 runner race but I could potentially lay 3 of them, Mabre, Siglo Six and Russco 7/4, as long as they are single figure prices, as I think they all could do better over a longer distance but at the prices it looks likely I will only lay Russco, the hold up type Gilt Edge comes out in 3rd top spot, MY STYLE 11/1 (EW) comes out top rated using 2021 times and that speed figure is good enough for 2nd top spot on my overall figures so worth an each way wager, HANDYTALK 7/2 has only slow times so far this year but does have a time from 2020 recorded at Salisbury that makes it my top rated on the overall figures, both horses have good trainer/jockey stats making it look like both sets of connections are expecting a big run from their horse in this race so I will be backing them both.

CHEPSTOW 3.05 Div II 

Division 1 of this race was full of 3yo’s and lightly raced sorts so I will leave it alone, this isn't a great race but the top weight Creek Harbour 7/2 has been known to lead if nothing else wants to but will probably try to set a slightly slower early pace to keep something in reserve for the finish so it could be dangerous but along with Andre Amar 4/1 and Glorious Crescent 11/2 it can struggle to stay this distance on good to firm ground if theres a fast early pace, I will be backing 2 horses in this race there is only 2lbs between SIR RODERICK 10/1 (EW) and RAINBOW MIRAGE 12/1 (EW) and the latter has the better trainer/jockey stats which makes it hard to split them and I will be backing them both each way.

For a class 6 this one isn't too bad there's 3 known front runners and it could be won from the front, I will look to lay Nacho 7/4 who has won before but both on turf and AW surfaces they have been slow run affairs when it has won so this race may not be run to suit it, Glamorous Force 5/2 is my 3rd top rated and will be trying to stay on at the business end of the race but isn't an each way prospect, Aquadabra 14/1 comes out best on just 2021 times and 2nd best on my overall figures so may be worth an each way interest while CORONATION COTTAGE 11/2 comes out 2nd best on 2021 times but top on my overall figures and is the one that I think could lead all the way in this race.

There is a couple of known front running types in this race which helps with my analysis, I have Storm Melody as my 3rd top rated and it usually likes to track the leaders as does Tilsworth Rose who sits in 2nd top spot but top on my figures but only by 1lb when I take off the apprentices 3lb claim on JORVIK PRINCE 12/1 who is a front running type and has the plum stall 1 draw in this race and could lead from the off and then prove hard to catch, its a pity there is only 7 runners because I would have put it as an each way bet if there was 3 places.

A field of 13 but only one known front running type in Freedom Flyer but time wise I doubt it can hold on for the win but may go well if allowed an easy lead, Qaaraat 13/2 is capable of doing a decent time but usually in a lower class race so maybe worth laying if a single figure price, Al Asef 11/2 usually stays on at the finish and comes out joint 2nd top rated but maybe will arrive too late to win this race and if the early pace is slow this race might not be run to suit it, the three year old Yoyllovemewheniwin comes out 4th best on my figures and could still improve with experience so could make the frame in this race but my money will be riding on WATER OF LEITH 11/2 who has good trainer stats and a repeat of its best time from 2020 it would be winning this race a shade cosily.

Only 6 runners in this race with Airshow 5/2 the only one that's been known to lead before and its forecast to be the favourite according to the early tissue prices but I will look to lay it as it hasn't won on turf since 2017, its best time was recorded over this course and distance this year but it would need to improve on it to hold on for the win but if allowed an easy lead it could do better but i will be laying it and if I'm wrong the loss isn't great, Gilt Edge 6/1 can usually be relied upon to run to its best but its only 3rd top on my figures, Swissal is well weighted on some of its form/times but I will be backing TAWAAFAQ 11/2 who also recorded its best time over this course and distance and the trainer has a decent 19% win ratio at this course and at the price looks the value call in the race.

Another 6 runner race but with 2 front running types in this race but I think Red Walls and Charming Kid could be setting the race up for something coming from off the pace although the latter is my 2nd top rated using a time it recorded at Newcastle last year I will be relying on JUMIRA BRIDGE 12/1 to track the leaders and then stay on the stronger at the finish, it hasn't been in top form recently which isn't ideal but it has been known to spring back to form before without warning so I'm hoping today is one of those days and at the price it does look to be worth a small punt hoping for the best.

Not a bad looking class 6 race but there isn't any known front running types amongst them and in this race I am hoping the early pace isn't a frantic one, Our Man In Havana has good jockey stats and comes out 4th best on my figures, in 3rd top spot I've got Knockabout Queen who has average trainer/jockey stats and could make the frame, I've got joint top rated horses in WIFF WAFF 6/1 and I'M WATCHING YOU 25/1 the former is held up for a late run while the latter usually runs in midfield or tracks the leaders and I will be backing the both of them with the latter being worth an each way interest at the price.

This is a tricky looking race where I have got 5 horses that all look to have some chance of winning this race, Oh So Nice is one of the 2 known front running types in the race but only comes out 5th of them, Toptime the other possible pacesetter comes out 4th of the five with winning chances so they may set the race up for something coming from off the pace, Alba Del Sole is 3rd top rated using a 2020 time recorded at Ripon but hasn't been in as good a form so far this year, Katherine Place is my 2nd top rated and once again its using a 2020 time this time from Lingfield my top rated horse AQUADABRA 25/1 is top rated using just 2021 times and has an even faster time from 2020 that also makes it my top rated on overall speed figures and I'm hoping this one will be an each way price as a bit of insurance.

I expect that Fernando Rah will set the pace to this race but time wise it only comes out in 5th top spot so may struggle to lead all the way, the bottom weight Lady Celia is capable of running a fast time but usually in lower class races than this one but could still go well, the 3yo Koolmoe Dee comes out 2nd best but that is using a time recorded at Bath in 2020 and this years best has been way below that standard, my top rated on 2021 times is HURAIZ 7/1 who recorded it over this course and distance but will have to bounce back to form from what its achieved in its recent runs and i am hoping it will be an each way price as a bit of insurance.

An 11 runner race with 2 known front runners, Tanfantic is one of them but would need to improve timewise to stay there till the end as its only 5th joint top rated on my figures the other frontrunner is SMEATONS LIGHT 13/2 who is my joint top rated on just 2021 times and 2nd joint top on overall times so it could be hard to catch and has decent trainer/jockey stats, TEMPLE BRUER 10/1 is the other joint 2nd top rated on overall figures and this one has even better trainer/jockey stats so it looks like both sets of connections are expecting big runs in this race but i do have EQUITATION 5/1 with a higher rating but this ones best time does come from 2020 in its defense though it hasn't any form on good or good to firm going recently so if fully fit it could win, so i will be dutching the 3 of them.

4:10 Ascot Racing Tips (23rd July)

ASCOT 4.10 

Only 6 runners with 4 of them having led before it could be a fast and furious 5 furlong dash, the bottom two, Mountain Peak 8/1 and Bedford Flyer 7/1 have a negative against their names so may be worth laying, Jawwaal 11/4 will need the leaders to tire badly to catch them, Tis Marvellous and Significantly could both try to lead but on overall speed figures they may struggle to keep up with CASPIAN PRINCE 9/1 who if getting to the front could prove hard to catch especially if it can reproduce its best time Musselburgh earlier this year and looks the value call in the race if nothing else.

There's a couple of known front runners in this race but neither feature top 4 ratings, I will look to lay Celerity 9/1 if its still a single figure price near the off which I doubt will happen, Hard Solution 9/2 may need a longer trip on good to firm ground it nearly always runs well but I'm doubting it will stay on fast enough to win this race so maybe another worth laying, the 3yo Royal Jazz has only a slow time over this distance on good ground and despite being a possible pacesetter it will need to improve time wise to win this race and may get taken on for the lead by Spirit Power and both may fade nearing the finish and if it wasn't for the fact that Royal Jazz is a 3yo I would out it up as a lay, Hello Girl 14/1 is my 2nd top rated on both 2021 times and overall figures so maybe worth a small each way punt but I will be backing the 3yo ALBEGONE 4/1 who recorded its best time this year over this course and distance and a repeat would see it winning again.

For a class 4 race this is quite poor although I cannot see anything of value to put forward as a lay but the betting might change my mind, Hurstwood is my 3rd top rated using a time recorded at Ripon this year and usually likes to track the leaders but I cannot see a natural front running type in the race which always causes me problems in analysing a race, sitting in 2nd top spot is Gunmetal but this ones best time also came from last year at Ripon but I have OBEE JO 11/2 sitting in top pot with a few spots in hand, it won last time out and has been found a good opportunity to follow up in this race and booked jockey has a 20% win ratio on the stables older horses.

A 5 furlong dash with 3 known front running types in the race and those 3 are all in my top 5 ratings, I will look to lay Gherkin who may need further and may also lay Toptime and Glamorous Breeze who are 3yo’s which means they could improve but I'm hoping it doesn't happen in this race, if the leaders go off and cut each others throats then Lethal Angel and or Zulu Zander may be the ones to prosper and might be worth having a covering bet on just incase the leaders tire badly nearing the finish, Davids Beauty and Pink Flamingo are 2 possible pacesetters and could do enough to make the frame but i will be putting my faith in THEGREYVTRAIN 4/1 who is a possible leader and if doing so could be hard to catch, its best time from this year plus the apprentices 7lb claim make it my top rated and it has an even faster time from 2020 which would see it winning with a little bit in hand.

I HAVE SAID THIS MANY TIMES BEFORE BUT PLEASE MAKE SURE THE GOING IS GOOD OR FIRMER AS MY FIGURES ARE ALL CALCULATED ON THAT SORT OF GROUND AND RAIN IS FORECAST IN SOME AREAS. 

BRIGHTON 4.10 

A 6 runner race with one known front runner among them, Minhaaj may need further to show its best and might be worth laying, It Must Be Faith hasn't won at this distance in the England and usually likes to track the leaders, Newyorkstateofmind is my 4th top rated and like all of my top 4 ratings its time was recorded this year, Wiley Post is in 3rd top spot but doesn't seem to like fast good to firm ground, Shamshon comes out 2nd best using a Windsor time but my top rated is the front running AISH 13/2 who also recorded its time at Windsor and the trainer does well at this course and I'm hoping it can lead all the way.

Only 7 runners with one front running type but Afandem usually fades at this trip unless allowed a very soft lead and I will lay it if of any value to do so, Gunmetal is my 3rd top rated but doesn't really like good to firm ground, LADY CELIA 9/2 is my 2nd top rated but the jockeys 3lb claim makes it joint top rated along with ROYAL ADVICE 12/1 and with them both being young horses they could both be capable of further improvement so I will be backing them both.

For a class 6 race this 14 runner affair doesn't look too bad, firstly I will be looking to lay, Stronsay 5/1 who may need further to show its best, and Lord Of The Glen 9/1 I have 3 horses that are versatile with their racing styles which includes leading but they would all need to improve and there is one more natural front runner in the shape of ALSVINDER 7/1 who has good jockey stats and could go well and would be my only selection if it wasn't for the trainers 0-19 record at this course which is a little off-putting, i will look to lay Stronsay who might prefer a longer trip and Lord Of The Glen who has one win from 27 runs on turf, ROSE BANDIT 4/1 is my top rated on just 2021 times so has to be feared and usually tracks the leaders before staying on at the finish, the top weight HARD SOLUTION 5/1 will be running on at the finish and has both good trainer and jockey stats and the apprentices 5lb claim should help its chances.

A 17 runner race with just one known front running type in the race, I cannot see anything of value to lay but that might change when the betting is known, I also cannot narrow it down to any less than 4 selections but I will be having one main bet and then back the other 3 to varying degrees to make a profit whichever one wins, Fard is the likely pacesetter and my joint 3rd top rated and the jockey booking looks a positive for the stable, Twice As Likely is the other 3rd top rated and the jockey has a 17% win ratio for the stable and both of them recorded their best speed figures this year, Our Man In Havana is my 2nd top rated using a 2020 time from Windsor and is another with good jockey stats and the apprentices 7lb claim could help its cause but most of my money will be riding on WIFF WAFF 9/1 who did its best time at Leicester last year and this race which doesn't look likely to be too fast in the early stages suits its favoured style of racing.

I was going to leave this race alone until I saw the betting, the top weight ICONIC KNIGHT 12/1 (EW) is dropped in class for this race and has a good jockey stats, so I thought it was worth the risk at the price and a small each way punt might pay dividends.

Firstly I will look to lay (Pastfact 15/2 who might prefer a longer trip and hasn't shown much time wise for quite a while now + Leo Davinci 8/1 who also may need a longer distance on good to firm ground and the jockey is 0-11 for the stable) the early pace could well be set by the top weight PRINCELY 8/1 but this one hasn't shown much time wise since 2018 and that time would make it 3rd top on my figures so with an easy lead it could possibly be dangerous and might be worth an each way bet if a double figure price, SIR RODERIC 9/1 is 2nd top on my figures and it usually stays on at the finish and could also be worth an each way bet if of value to do so and the same could be said of my top rated horse IM WATCHING YOU 10/1 and to tell the truth I cannot really split my top 3 ratings and will go with backing them all.

CHEPSTOW 5.30 

This looks a competitive affair for a class 5 race and the only known front runner is now a non-runner and that always muddies the waters, I cannot find anything to lay in this race which backs up my theory of how competitive the race actually is, I have narrowed it down to 4 possible winners, GHEPARDO 13/2 my 4th top rated who usually runs on at the business end of a race over this distance, GLAMOROUS FORCE 7/2 who is my 3rd top rated and these two have both recorded their best times this year which is always a good pointer but I have SHOW ME THE BUBBLY 14/1 as my 2nd top rated but this time i am using a 2020 time from Bath but the jockeys 1-26 record is off-putting but it might be worth an each way punt at the price, my top rated is AQUADABRA 4/1 and the jockey Luke Morris has a good record when riding for today's stable, I will have to dutch all 4 of them but maybe tilting slightly in favour of my top rated but with no known pacesetter in the race my stakes will be kept low.

3:10 Chepstow Racing Tips (11th June)

CHEPSTOW 3.10 

GREY GALLEON 7/1 can be held up or track the leaders but is only 4th top rated on my unique speed figures but could make the frame if others falter.

AIRSHOW 3/1 has only won once from 19 races on turf and that win was in 2017 so I will look to lay this one if a single figure price.

BEZZAS LAD 9/2 this one is my 3rd top rated and i think it will be the most likely one to set the pace and could do enough from the front to at least make the frame. 

GILT EDGE 11/2 comes out 2nd top on recent, 2020/21, times it does have a faster time but that time seems to be a bit of a one off, it could go well and may make the frame.

SWISSAL 11/1 has only shown poor form on its recent runs and races as though further would suit it better and an old time on good to firm going was still relatively slow.

I'M WATCHING YOU 8/1 is my top rated on recent c/d times and usually stays on strongly at the finish of a race over this distance.

PASTFACT 7/1 has only slow recent times and it looks as though it may prefer a shorter trip or maybe a slower surface or maybe both so one I will look to lay. 

DIAMOND COTTAGE 7/1 has only slow times over this distance on good or good to firm ground and another for my list of possible lays. 

SUMMARY: Not a race to be betting too heavily in but I will side with my top rated and have a small bet on I'M WATCHING YOU 8/1 the jockey is making his debut for the stable but they only have a 9% win ratio at this course which is another reason for keeping stakes low.

BELLEVARDE 10/3 is a front running type and has a time from 2020 that would make it 2nd top spot on my own figures and the jockey is 1-6 on the stables older horses. 

EQUALLY FAST 10/3 can be versatile with its racing tactics and is a course and distance winner but it needs to improve time wise to win this race. 

FLIP MODE 3/1 won last time out beating 3 of today's rivals but isn't weighted as well here and the top 2 in this race could reverse that form. 

TWILIGHTING 13/2 lightly raced type but hasn't even made the frame in its 6 runs on turf and maybe better when racing over a longer distance. 

SHOW ME THE BUBBLY 28/1 comes out 3rd best on my figures using a time recorded at Bath last year and can be held up or track the front runners. 

AQUADABRA 5/1 is actually my top rated but its best times are recorded on good ground and doesn't want the going to be good to firm so maybe this wont be a suitable race for it. 

OH SO NICE 10/1 has only slow times over this distance and poor recent form altogether despite being known to lead races. 

SUMMARY: The top weight *BELLEVARDE 10/3 is a likely pacesetter and is weighted in this race to reverse form with Flip Mode who beat it in its last race, Aquadabra would be dangerous if the going was good and not good to firm so I will have to wait to see exactly how fast the going is before betting but at this moment in time I will be having just the one bet in this race.

4:55 Musselburgh Racing Tips (5th June)

MUSSELBURGH 4.55 

As usual I will stick with my own unique speed figure handicap ratings which gives VICTORY ANGEL 7/2 as my top rated, its usually held up for a late run and with 3 possible pacesetters this race could be run to suit it, the only downside is the trainers 0-6 record at this course and the jockeys 0-8 record on this stables horses both Eeh Bah Gum and Militia could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead but they might also cut each others throats and set the race up for my selection. 

Victory Angel 7/2 1st +3.5pts (Betfair SP -)

Looking at the tissue prices I will look to lay Aguerooo15/2 and Finvarca 8/1 who both might do better over longer distances as long as they are single figure prices, another lay could be Captain Ryan 13/2 who I tipped up and backed when it won last time out on the AW but it hasn't won since 2016 on grass and has shown very little since then on its sporadic ventures onto the turf and I think this expected favourite could be worth laying, Glamorous Force is my 4th top rated but only 1lb below my joint 2nd and 3rd top rated horses Top Boy, but I had to go back to 2019 for this ones best time, and Blue Venture and this one could be the one to set the pace and should prove hard to catch if getting to the front but my top rated is AQUADABRA 9/2 who recorded a time in 2020 at Bath that would see it winning this race a shade cosily, the poor trainer/jockey stats are a bit off-putting but I am hoping an each way punt could pay dividends.

A 9 runner dash with 3 known front running types in the race and Davids Beauty could go best of the trio but this ones best is only good enough for 4th top spot, I will look to lay Flip Mode as I don't think good to firm going suits it but I will need to check the going on the day before laying this one, Bellevarde is my 3rd top rated and the apprentice jockeys 5lb claim moves it to 2nd top spot, my original 2nd top rated was Show Me The Bubbly but this one jockeys record of 1-13 for the stable looks a negative, MOONRAKER 2/1 starts off as my top rated and the apprentices 3lb claim keeps it at top spot and it usually likes to track the leaders and the stay on strongly at the finish of the race but I do hope it drifts as I was hoping for about 5/1.

Only 7 runners but a nice looking class 3 affair except for the lack of early pace, Minhaaj hasn't been in form so looks a likely outsider, Green Power hasn't shown anything time wise since 2019 and maybe another bigger priced horse, Top Breeze may find this distance too far if there is fast early pace so I'm not sure whether to lay it or not but if under 5/1 may be worth taking the risk, Concierge may prefer longer but time wise needs to improve to win this race, Open Wide is 3rd top even if I use its best time from 2019, Atlantis Boy usually stays on at the finish and is my 2nd top rated but I will be backing BIMBLE 5/2 who is usually hold up type so I am hoping there is a decent early pace for it to aim at and has good trainer/jockey stats making me think the connections are expecting it to get back to winning ways here.

Another 7 runner race but class 4 this time, where my top 4 ratings all recorded their times this year but once again its a race with no known front runner in the field, Mid Winster may need further to shine so this race might not be run to suit it, Primos Comet sits in 4th top spot but doesn't want really fast ground, the top weight Victory Angel comes out 3rd best and is usually held up for a late run, Afandem my 2nd top rated is another that doesn't want really fast ground, I will be pinning my faith and money on FASHION ADVICE 7/2 who recorded its best time over this c/d and the jockey has a decent 18% strike rate for the stable.

Isn't a great race even for class 5 standards, anything I think will be a lay bet looks likely to be too big in price to be worth risking things, Major Valentine comes out 3rd best and Rainbow Mirage in 2nd top spot and both of them recorded their best times at Windsor this year, maybe even the same race as I've not looked as I analyse each horse separately, my money will be riding on VAPE 11/2 who recorded its best time at Salisbury this year and has made the frame in all of its last 3 runs on turf and has been found a good opportunity to get back to winning ways.

This might be a class 5 race but its a nice looking one, there is 3 runners in the race that have been known to lead before so it should be a true run affair, there is very little between Good Night Mr Tom, Tomily, Jungle Speed, Oakenfield and Absolute Dream who are my 6th to 2nd top rated (not in ratings order I worked from the top to the bottom of the handicap) but I will have a punt, and it is a punt on HART STOPPER 13/2 who is my top rated using its best c//d time from last year, it hasn't shown much lately but it won last year on its third run of the year and this is its third run of this year so I am hoping that lightning will strike again this year.

Down to class 6 here and gladly there is a couple of known front running types in the race, the top weight Ventura Express is forecast to be the favourite for this race but I have a feeling it is a better horse over a longer trip and that would usually be enough for me to lay it but it is dropped in class in this race, it won over this distance at Pontefract last time out but that course is a lot slower than today's, in fact there's just over 3 seconds difference between them over the minimum trip and a horse covers 19 yards per second at this course so maybe I will lay it if poor value, I've got Quanah, Gorgeous Gobolina and Atyaaf as my co 4th favourites, Suwaan at the bottom of the handicap comes out 3rd best, Another Angel comes out 2nd best on its best effort from 2020 and it is one of the likely pacesetters, the other likely pacesetter is ROCKLEY POINT 7/1 who recorded its time this year which is always a positive and the jockey has a decent 15% win ratio on the stables older horses.
