7:00 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (16th January)

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.00 

PRIDE OF ROME is quite versatile when it comes to its racing tactics but its last few runs have been very poor and looks to be an outsider in this race. 

PANDEMIC PRINCESS hasn't run on this surface before and other form lines suggest that a longer distance would suit it better. 

HIT MAC usually races in midfield before staying on at the finish and has had 9 runs and made the frame in 7 of them and is my 3rd top rated so should make the frame again here. 

HOT DIGGITY DOG has never won over the distance of this race and has been in poor form also so i guess it will be another outsider. 

ASTROPHYSICS if this race was over 6 furlongs then this horse would have every chance but seems to get outpaced over the minimum trip.

BOOM THE GROOM is a front running type and has been a grand old servant but age seems to be catching up with it and has shown only poor form in its recent races. 

GLAMOROUS FORCE is usually held up for a late run and is my 2nd top rated so might be worth an each way interest in this race if a double figure price. 

JANAAT hasn't been in the best of form in its recent races but its best rating from 2022 makes it my top rated but hasn't won over today's distance so not sure how reliable that rating is.

GRIGGY usually likes to track the leaders but all of its wins have come over further and will be staying on at the finish but i expect too late for the win. 

UBAHHA is 0-17 on the All-Weather courses and only 1-28 in all races and hasn't produced anything worthwhile time wise since 2021. 

BATTLE POINT has never won over this distance and hasn't shown anything worthwhile form wise in its last few runs even when finishing 3rd last time out on turf. 

SUMMARY: Of the 11 runners I can find a definitive negative against 8 of them and I might look to lay any of them if they are a single figure price. HIT MAC 11/8 has been consistent lately but hasn't won from 9 previous runs and being my 3rd top rated might have to settle for a place again here if the others can reproduce their best, that's if they do, so it wouldn't be a big surprise if it did win here, JANAAT 15/2 hasn't been in the best form and is still a maiden after 12 runs but is my top rated so if that rating wasn't a fluke where it got carried along in a relatively fast run race it could break its duck here, GLAMOROUS FORCE 25/1 (EW) is my 2nd top rated and if bouncing back to form it could at least make the frame and if a double figure price it will be carrying some of my money in an each way punt.

6:00 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (15th October)

WOLVERHAMPTON 6.00 

To be honest for a class 4 race this one isn't the greatest I guess mainly because of the five 3yo’s amongst the 7 runners, so no each way bets, I expect Serenity 3/1 will be to the fore in the betting just because of it coming from one of the top stables in the country, Belle Fourche comes out in top spot of the 3yo’s but that is only good enough for joint 2nd top spot and even then that rating was recorded on the Polytrack surface, Hello Me 9/2 is my 2nd top rated but that's one best was recorded last year over today's course and distance but my top rated is CHERISH 5/2 who also recorded its best figure over this course and distance but in this case it was recorded last time out and a repeat performance would be enough for it to follow up here but, there's nearly always a but, the 3yo’s are capable of improving dramatically without warning so any stakes have to be kept on the low side.

Under Curfew 7/1 and May Remain have a recorded speed figure on the Polytrack surface but it looks as though they don't appreciate this Tapeta surface while I doubt they will be of value to lay, the two 3yo’s Olivetto 9/1 and Coast 9/2 both race as though further would suit them better but because of their age I'm not 100% sure I could lay them but this race with just 1 known front runner might not be run to suit them so I will have to see the betting as to whether I lay them or not, Q Twenty Boy is my 3rd top rated using just Tapeta ratings and usually runs on at the finish over this minimum distance, Valentine Blues won last time out and has been found an opportunity to follow up here and it wouldn't be a surprise if it did just that but that was its 1st win from 13 attempts on an artificial surface, if NACHO 9/2 runs to its best then it has been found a good opportunity to return to winning ways but this race certainly isn't one to be betting too heavily in.

Not a great race with just 1 known front runner, there is 3 horses that look to have virtually no chance but the betting looks likely to show that fact, Level Up 9/1 may need further and I'm not sure what to expect from Peggoty 4/1 but I do think its a bit shorter in price than its chance merits, Suann 7/2 is my 4th top rated but does do better time wise on the Polytrack surface so might be worth laying at such a short price, RED WALLS 3/1 comes out in third top spot but there is only 3lbs between my top 3 if they all run to their best but this is the one I expect to set the pace to the race and could lead all the way, GLAMOROUS FORCE 11/2 is usually held up for a late run and is my 2nd top rated and could catch the leader nearing the finish, in top spot is PRIVELEGE 11/2 who usually races in midfield and can find this distance a bit too short for it if the early pace isn't a fast one, so the trio have pro’s and cons in this contest, then add on the fact that all of them have poor trainer and or jockey stats so any stakes have to be kept on the low side.

3:00 Chepstow Racing Tips (30th August)

CHEPSTOW 3.00 

Nine runner dash for a class 6 race, I can see 4 that have been known to lead before, Willingly has won its last 2 races but both were relatively slow run races and the official handicapper might have caught up with it but I'm not 100% sure whether to lay it or not, Coronation Cottage my 4th top rated could try to lead and could make the frame if others falter, the 3yo Hattie C comes out in 3rd top spot so could stay on nearing the finish to make the frame so might be worth an each way punt, Shesadabber another front running type comes out in 2nd top spot on my figures but GLAMOROUS FORCE 15/2 hinted at a return to form when finishing 3rd last time out and if ready and able to reproduce its best 2021 rating recorded at Bath it would get back to winning ways.

I expect the front running Mark's Choice 5/2 will be the favourite to win this race but it only comes out 4th top on my figures so might be worth taking on with a lay bet, Surprise Picture 9/1 is my 3rd top rated who likes to track the leaders and could be worth an each way punt, Bossipop is another possible pacesetter and comes out in 2nd top spot on my figures using its best time from Hamilton last year but my money will be on my top rated horse MAJESKI MAN 5/1 who likes to track the leaders before staying on the stronger at the finish and did hint at a return to form when finishing 2nd last time out.

Only 7 runners but 4 of them have been known to lead before so it should be a fast and furious race, with a fast pace I will look to lay La Roco Del Fuego who can struggle to stay the sixth furlong even though this is a relatively easy fast course, Boogie Time a possible front runner is my 3rd top rated but would need to improve time wise to win this race, Reparted is my 2nd top rated so could do best of those trying to come from off the pace, I will be hoping that BLISSFUL SONG 11/2 has been found an ideal opportunity to follow up its win last time out and the trainer does quite well with a 29% strike rate at this course.

CARLISLE 5.15 

Class 5 dash with 12 runners and 4 known front running types, I'm not sure if I can find anything of value to lay but the betting will be the final piece of data to complete the picture, Canaria Prince is my 3rd top rated and a possible pacesetter and it could do enough from the front to make the frame, Mutashaaweq is my 2nd top rated and ran two fast times at Hamilton on good to firm ground but hasn't been anywhere near that form on any other course, my money will be riding on LATIN FIVE 11/1 who won the time before last and finished 5th last time out when not getting a clear run at a critical time and still wasn't beaten far and has been found a good opportunity to get back to winning ways in this race.

2:45 Chelmsford Racing Tips (13th December)

CHELMSFORD 2.45 

REPARTEE is a possible front runner but needs to improve time wise and has shown very little lately and will be an outsider.

SIR RODNEYREDBLOOD is in cracking form and has won over this course and distance but its times are usually slower percentage wise over the 6 furlongs and may be worth taking on if a short price (is forecast to be the favourite).

COOPERATIVE is a versatile 3yo who can deploy any racing tactics and recorded the best speed figure in this race two runs ago but that was a class 5 race and hasn't shown anything like that form in previous attempts in higher class races but never say never.

RESTLESS ENDEAVOUR comes out 2nd best on my figures and has improved in each of its last 3 runs and could go one better than last time and get back to winning ways. 

HURAIZ isn't in my top 4 rated horses and usually tracks the leaders and may struggle to pick up the leaders in this race. 

FAUVETTE is my 3rd top rated which it recorded when winning over this course and distance but those times were recorded it lower class races and may struggle here so maybe worth laying is single figure odds.

MOUNT MOGAN has been known to lead before but time wise it needs to improve a good few spots and may struggle to win in this class but could go well. 

SUMMARY: Only 7 runners for this class 3 handicap I think Sir Rodneyredblood 7/2 maybe shorter than its actual chance over this longer distance so I will be laying as it is the forecast  favourite and Fauvette 7/2 is another one I will take on if its of value to do so, my money will be riding on RESTLESS ENDEAVOUR 7/2 who should be able to sit just behind the front runners ready to attack and stay on the stronger at the finish.

CHELMSFORD 3.15 

This class 6 race has only the one known front running type in Champagne Supernova and it could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead and sets a slower pace and keep plenty in reserve to hold off any late attacks but I doubt that will happen with several that like to chase the leaders, I will look to lay Delegate The Lady 7/1, who both race as though a longer trip would suit them better, if they are a single figure price. LETHAL ANGEL 7/1 comes out top rated on just 2021 c/d speed figures and joint 2nd top rated overall so has to be carrying some of my money, the other joint 2nd top rated is COME ON GIRL 11/1 but that is using a 2020 speed figure and its 2021 c/d rating is 2nd best for just this year, the top weight NUBOUGH 7/2 is dropped in class to run in this race and it has a rating form 2020 that puts it in top spot and I will be backing all three of them.

I will start this race off with something I will be laying and that is Grandfather Tom 5/1 who surprised me when it won last time out but in that race it was allowed an easy lead so set a slowish early pace and had plenty in reserve at the finish and the final time was slow even for its lowly class, I doubt that will happen in this race as for the winner that's a lot more complex, Qaaraat is always capable, when the mood takes him, but has been running in class 6 without running and its raised to class 5 here but today's jockey does well for the stable so they could be hoping for a big run in this race and this ones stablemate Mutabaahy is another that could win if in the mood it likes to track the pacesetter and then stay on strongly at the finish and is dropped in class here, Glamorous Force is usually held up for a late run and could possibly get there here and it does have a positive looking jockey booking, Trusty Rusty also cannot be ignored and likes to track the leaders and then stay on resolutely nearing the finish, I will probably dutch the four of them, MUTABAAHY 8/1, GLAMOROUS FORCE 7/1, TRUSTY RUSTY 5/1 and QAARAAT 9/1 to small stakes but perhaps the best way to make money from this competitive race is to concentrate on the best lay in the race.

1:00 Bath Racing Tips (18th October)

BATH 1.00 

A field of 16 with 6 of them being known as front running types, there looks to be four or five that appear to have virtually no chance of leading but I expect them to be big prices and maybe the only value call for a lay bet is Bama Lama who I don't think will like the good to firm ground, as long as the rain stays away which is forecast for the day, as for what I will be backing firstly I will be putting some of my stake on CORONATION COTTAGE 7/1 who is one of the possible pacesetters and could prove hard to catch if getting its head in front and if it can reproduce its best 2020 time recorded over this course and distance it would hang on for the win but its best so far this year has been a few spots below that level which means I will also be backing GLAMOROUS FORCE 11/1 who is my top rated on just this years times and 2nd top rated on my overall figures so hoping i have covered the angles with these two.

Another race where I will be going with two selections to cover the angles, firstly I will be looking to lay Thegreatestshowman 5/1 if its a single figure price which I think it should be and on the tissue prices it is forecast to be the 3/1 favourite and it will certainly be poor value at that price and I would lay it, I think the early pace will be set by HYDE PARK BARRACKS 9/1 (EW) and it is my 2nd top rated using a time it recorded here earlier this year and a repeat of that time would make it hard to catch for most of these, but there are two or three that could be hidden dangers so I'm just hoping they don't become dangerous in this race, I do have MUTABAAHY 12/1 (EW) rated 3lbs higher from its time when winning over this course and distance earlier this year and does like a fast pace to aim at as this distance can be a bit too short for it if the early pace isn't fast enough but it think the 3yo Follow Your Heart may make sure nothing gets an easy lead so this race could be ideal for it and I will be backing them both each way at the prices available.

THIRSK 2.40 

A 15 runner race with a couple of known front runners, if the going is good to firm I will have a few to lay but I somehow doubt it will dry out that much but hopefully the going will be at least good if not then there won't be any bets, it looks quite a competitive race which I would expect for a class 3 race, the 3yo Just Frank is a possible pacesetter and could go well but hasn't any form on good or good to firm ground, Dazzling Dan, Chairmanoftheboard and Blackheath all have times that could see them make the frame but I am hoping that RATHBONE 5/1 can get away quickly and if getting to the front it could lead all the way.

There is 11 runners but no known front running types amongst them which means my stakes will be kept low, the betting will tell if there is anything worth laying but it doesn't look very promising, I'm Watching You is my 3rd top rated horse but the trainer is 0-17 in the last 2 weeks which doesn't fill me with confidence, Amathus comes out 2nd best on overall figures but top rated on just 2021 times, my money will be riding on EPSOM FAITHFUL 4/1 who finished 2nd last time out on the AW and if it can reproduce its best time from 2020 at Windsor it would be winning a shade cosily.

An 8 runner race with a couple of front runners in Green Door and Liberty Bay and the latter is my 3rd top rated and being a 3yo it could still improve and would need to to win this race but could do enough to make the frame, Attys Edge comes out 2nd best using a time from 2020 but its 2021 is only 1lb below Liberty Bay’s 2021 time, my top rated is GLAMOROUS FORCE 3/1 who’s best time came at Bath and a repeat of that time would see it winning a shade cosily but the trainer is 0-17 in the last 2 weeks although its only 3 weeks since their last win but it does temper my bet so only a small win.

Another 8 runner race with just one known front runner amongst them, there is a few who race as though further would suit them better and this race might not be run to suit them and the betting will guide me to which ones to lay, Melody King comes out in 3rd top spot and will be trying to stay on strongly at the finish, sitting in 2nd top spot is Iris Dancer who is another that will be trying to stay on at the business end of the race but maybe none of them will be able to catch SHESADABBER 12/1 (EW) who could be allowed an easy lead here and being my top rated it will be carrying my money in this race and at the double figure price it has to be an each way bet.

4:30 Chepstow Racing Tips (21st June)

CHEPSTOW 4.30 Div I 

I was going to leave this race alone until I saw the betting, the top weight ICONIC KNIGHT 12/1 (EW) is dropped in class for this race and has a good jockey stats, so I thought it was worth the risk at the price and a small each way punt might pay dividends.

Firstly I will look to lay (Pastfact 15/2 who might prefer a longer trip and hasn't shown much time wise for quite a while now + Leo Davinci 8/1 who also may need a longer distance on good to firm ground and the jockey is 0-11 for the stable) the early pace could well be set by the top weight PRINCELY 8/1 but this one hasn't shown much time wise since 2018 and that time would make it 3rd top on my figures so with an easy lead it could possibly be dangerous and might be worth an each way bet if a double figure price, SIR RODERIC 9/1 is 2nd top on my figures and it usually stays on at the finish and could also be worth an each way bet if of value to do so and the same could be said of my top rated horse IM WATCHING YOU 10/1 and to tell the truth I cannot really split my top 3 ratings and will go with backing them all.

CHEPSTOW 5.30 

This looks a competitive affair for a class 5 race and the only known front runner is now a non-runner and that always muddies the waters, I cannot find anything to lay in this race which backs up my theory of how competitive the race actually is, I have narrowed it down to 4 possible winners, GHEPARDO 13/2 my 4th top rated who usually runs on at the business end of a race over this distance, GLAMOROUS FORCE 7/2 who is my 3rd top rated and these two have both recorded their best times this year which is always a good pointer but I have SHOW ME THE BUBBLY 14/1 as my 2nd top rated but this time i am using a 2020 time from Bath but the jockeys 1-26 record is off-putting but it might be worth an each way punt at the price, my top rated is AQUADABRA 4/1 and the jockey Luke Morris has a good record when riding for today's stable, I will have to dutch all 4 of them but maybe tilting slightly in favour of my top rated but with no known pacesetter in the race my stakes will be kept low.

3:55 Brighton Racing Tips (1st June)

BRIGHTON 3.55 

A field of 9 runners and at least one known front running type, I will look to lay Lets Go Lucky 13/2 who races as it may need further to show its best and this lay will be my main bet in the race, i could post up another 4 horses to lay but i think they will all be big prices and its the 3 top weights that look to have the best chance in this race, Kendergarton Kop 9/4 has been known to lead but its been doing that over a 7 furlong trip so whether it will be able to lead against these at this distance I'm not sure but it could at least make sure the early pace is good, Aweemaweh 7/1 comes out as my top rated but that is using a time recorded on the AW at Wolverhampton and could win cosily if able to replicate that sort of time on turf but the one proven on turf and the forecast going is BATCHELOR BOY 8/1 who is usually held up for a late run so I'm hoping the leaders are fading nearing the finish so this one can pick them up in the closing stages of this race and it has good both trainer and jockey stats, it isn't really a race to betting in too heavily.

An 11 runner race and again there's is at least one known front runner amongst them, I will look to lay Big Time Maybe 7/1 who is held by my selection on recent form and maybe doesn't want fast good to firm ground, the other lays are Pour La Victoire 6/1 who may need further and Mykindofsunshine 9/1 who is still a maiden after 26 runs, the early pace looks likely to be set by Bring The Money 9/1 who is my joint 2nd top rated using its best time from 2020 at Ripon so may be worth an each way interest, the other joint 2nd top rated is Spreadsheet but this ones best time was recorded on the AW at Lingfield, my money will be riding on GLAMOROUS FORCE 5/2 who won last time out over this c/d which was a slow run affair but it has a time from Leicester last year that makes it my top rated and the trainer does seem to like having winners at this course, the price isn't great but a winners a winner and I think this 4yo could still be capable of some improvement.
