3:21 Musselburgh Racing Tips (4th June)

MUSSELBURGH 3.21 

There's now 14 runners in this race with 4 front running types amongst them and this race looks very likely to be won from the front, I cannot see anything of value to lay as I expect them all to be in double figure prices, I've got joint 3rd top rated horses in Ancient Times who is a possible pacesetter and Indian Sounds who could do best of those coming from off the pace, COPPER KNIGHT 12/1 (EW) in stall 15 is my 2nd top rated which it recorded earlier this year at Haydock but MODULAR MAGIC 10/1 (EW) in stall 2 comes out top rated but only by 2lbs and that was recorded over this course and distance but was recorded in 2021 and its one run so far this year was quite a bit below that level, so i have one drawn high and one drawn low so that covers that angle and at the prices I have to put it up as two each way wagers.

From the 13 runners in this race I will be looking to lay Sixcor who won last time out but maybe better over a longer distance but is my 3rd top rated, also Lord Of The Glen who may also prefer further and looks a better prospect when there is some cut in the ground,The Gloaming sits in 4th top spot on my figures and usually likes to track the leaders, the early pace could well be set by the top weight Eeh Bah Gum and it could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead especially as it comes out in 2nd top spot on my ratings but if MOKAMAN can repeat its best rating Ripon last year it would win with a bit in hand and the trainer has a good strike rate at this course.

I hope all 8 runners take part and I can see a couple of known front runners in the field, Our Man In Havana and Monsieur Fantasie both race as though a further distance would suit them better but the former is my 2nd top rated who won last time out and could run into a place here if gaining a clear run when trying to stay on at the finish and could win if others falter while I could look to lay the latter as it would need to improve time wise, Fittleton Ferry comes out in 3rd top spot and will also be trying to stay on at the finish but I will be hoping that SHESADABBER 16/1 (EW) can get away smartly and then lead all the way for victory and at the price it has to be an each way punt.

6:00 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (23rd November)

WOLVERHAMPTON 6.00 

A field of 7 with 2 known front running types which always helps with any analysis, if a single figure price Venturous 10/1 would be worth laying as this might not be its preferred surface and/or it might need a longer distance to show it’s best form, Blue De Vega comes out 3rd best on my ratings and does stay on strongly at the finish and maybe another that is even better over a longer distance, Mondammej 7/4 won last time out but that was 33 days ago so why its been off since then I’ve no idea, it is my top rated on just 2021 course and distance times and 2nd top rated on overall figures and could be the one to prosper if my top rated doesn't run to its best but isn't of value in my opinion, Fizzy Feet will make sure that ROYAL BIRTH 14/1 (EW) doesn't get it too easy up front but i am hoping the selection can get to the front and once doing so it could prove hard to catch and does have decent trainer stats at this course and the jockey does quite well when riding for this stable and will be the one carrying my money in this race, with only 7 runners i am not sure if it is worth backing each way as there is only two places up for grabs.

This class 6 race isn't great even for the class with only 5 of the 11 runners having a rating on my figures, I will look to lay Okaldi 3/1 who may need further if its a single figure price at the off and at the price on offer it looks poor value in my eyes, It Must Be Faith, Thegreyvtrain, Morty and Red Allure could all go well here if running to their best and I wouldn't put anyone off backing anyone of them but as for myself I will take a risk with a punt on BILLY DYLAN 9/2 although all the data, apart from its speed figure, says leave it alone, the trainer hasn't had a winner for 369 days but has only has 33 runners during that time, the trainer has a 3% win ratio at this course and the jockey is 0-11 for this stable and the horse hasn't won in 16 attempts on an artificial surface but has been placed in 4 of those 16 races but this is such a poor race a reproduction of its best time speed figure would see it winning this race a shade cosily.

This 2nd division is dire and I have negatives against 7 of the 11 runners but in such a poor race I couldn't recommend with any confidence laying any of those 7 runners, the one that might set the pace to this race is SHESADABBER 11/1 (EW) who comes 3rd top on my figures and with an easy lead it could be dangerous and hold on for the win so at the price it might be worth an each way flutter, to show how bad this race actually is QAARAAT 7/4 is forecast to be the two to one favourite and its best time, which was recorded in 2019, it would be my top rated but drops down to 2nd best on overall figures and at the price doesn't really represent any value but I couldn't say it wont or cant win so I cannot bet in this race without it carrying some of my money while LORNA COLE 20/1 (EW) comes out top rated on just 2021 speed figures and 2nd top overall but hasn't been in good form lately but looks value for an each way punt, none of the three have good trainer/jockey stats and none of them have had a winner in the last 2 weeks. I might look to dutch the three highlighted horses but in reality this race is maybe best left alone, the betting might be the deciding factor in whether I have a bet or not but I don't want people to lose money so again its best left alone, hey ho decisions decisions.

3:50 Hamilton Racing Tips (19th September)

HAMILTON 3.50 

MEWS HOUSE 7/2 usually races in midfield before trying to stay on at the finish but it needs to improve time wise to win this race. 

TOMILY 15/2 comes out 4th best on my speed figures but as it doesn't seem to like good to firm ground its times will not be as good as others that do like the faster going. 

ECONOMICAL CRISIS 11/1 is another that doesn't seem to like good to firm ground but is 3rd best on my speed figures so could make the frame.

ALBEGONE 11/8 won nicely last time out and it comes out 2nd best on my speed figures, being a 3yo it could improve and has a chance of following up in this race but it would need to improve 4lbs or hope the top rated doesn't run to its best so doesn't look much value.

SHESADABBER 10/1 is the only natural front running type I can see in this race and its best time recorded from the front did come over this course and distance.

THE GLOAMING 15/2 isn't in my top 4 ratings but being a 3yo it could still improve, I'm just hoping it doesn't happen in this race.

ANGLES EYES 33/1 is versatile when it comes to its racing tactics including leading if nothing else wants to but it wont need to in this race. 

HEER ME 80/1 has very poor form and i expect it will be the outsider in this race.

LANCASHIRE LIFE 40/1 has only a slow time over this distance when finishing 3rd and is a maiden after 7 runs and hasn't made the frame in those races. 

SUMMARY: I expect the 3yo ALBEGONE 11/8 will be the hot favourite after its win last time out and does come out 2nd top rated on my figures and could improve again to win this race but I do have SHESADABBER 10/1 rated 3lbs higher and its the most likely pacesetter to this race, so if allowed an easy lead and can repeat its best time recorded over this course and distance earlier this year it could hold on for the win so I will be going with 2 bets in this race.

2:40 Thirsk Racing Tips (27th August)

THIRSK 2.40 

A 15 runner race with a couple of known front runners, if the going is good to firm I will have a few to lay but I somehow doubt it will dry out that much but hopefully the going will be at least good if not then there won't be any bets, it looks quite a competitive race which I would expect for a class 3 race, the 3yo Just Frank is a possible pacesetter and could go well but hasn't any form on good or good to firm ground, Dazzling Dan, Chairmanoftheboard and Blackheath all have times that could see them make the frame but I am hoping that RATHBONE 5/1 can get away quickly and if getting to the front it could lead all the way.

There is 11 runners but no known front running types amongst them which means my stakes will be kept low, the betting will tell if there is anything worth laying but it doesn't look very promising, I'm Watching You is my 3rd top rated horse but the trainer is 0-17 in the last 2 weeks which doesn't fill me with confidence, Amathus comes out 2nd best on overall figures but top rated on just 2021 times, my money will be riding on EPSOM FAITHFUL 4/1 who finished 2nd last time out on the AW and if it can reproduce its best time from 2020 at Windsor it would be winning a shade cosily.

An 8 runner race with a couple of front runners in Green Door and Liberty Bay and the latter is my 3rd top rated and being a 3yo it could still improve and would need to to win this race but could do enough to make the frame, Attys Edge comes out 2nd best using a time from 2020 but its 2021 is only 1lb below Liberty Bay’s 2021 time, my top rated is GLAMOROUS FORCE 3/1 who’s best time came at Bath and a repeat of that time would see it winning a shade cosily but the trainer is 0-17 in the last 2 weeks although its only 3 weeks since their last win but it does temper my bet so only a small win.

Another 8 runner race with just one known front runner amongst them, there is a few who race as though further would suit them better and this race might not be run to suit them and the betting will guide me to which ones to lay, Melody King comes out in 3rd top spot and will be trying to stay on strongly at the finish, sitting in 2nd top spot is Iris Dancer who is another that will be trying to stay on at the business end of the race but maybe none of them will be able to catch SHESADABBER 12/1 (EW) who could be allowed an easy lead here and being my top rated it will be carrying my money in this race and at the double figure price it has to be an each way bet.

4:55 Pontefract Racing Tips (4th August)

PONTEFRACT 4.55 

A 7 runner race with one known front runner in Stay Smart and could go well with an easy lead, apart from Runninwild the rest have bits of form that are closely rated on my figures and I cannot say much about any of them, I will be backing CANFORD BAY 5/1 who can be held up for a late run or track the leaders and then stay on the stronger at the finish but it has poor trainer/jockey stats which worries me so any stakes will be kept on the low side.

This is a class 6 race and its very hard to analyse to much of a conclusion, I'm not sure I could put up any lays with any confidence so I think the way to go in this race is with dutching 3 horses, CAZEVA PRINCESS 13/2 is one of the 2 known front running types in the race and comes out 2nd top rated using just 2021 times over this distance but the jockeys 0-3 record isn't great, KNOCKABOUT QUEEN 7/2 is the one that comes out top rated on just 2021 times but the jockeys 0-12 record for the stable doesn't fill me with confidence, top rated using a 2020 time is LINCOLN RED 5/1 but this one has poor trainer 0-10 record with their older horses and the jockey is 1-28 so my stakes will be kept low.

PONTEFRACT 5.30 

In this race I will look to lay Dream Together who prefers good to firm going but I doubt that will happen here and even if it does it would still need to improve time wise to win this race, the bottom weight Mr Orange comes out 3rd best on my figures but has been in poor form recently, OBEE JO 8/1 is my top rated using just 2021 times and has good trainer/jockey stats and with the jockeys 5lb claim it moves to top spot, my original top rated was/is *HIGHLY SPRUNG 4/1 who will try to lead all the way and it might get to the front on its own looking at the make-up of this race and with an easy lead it could prove very hard to catch and I will back them both to cover the angles.

An 8 runner race where 5 of them have been known to lead before so the question is, will they go off too fast and fade nearing the finish? I hope not, but if all 5 of the front runners do fade then Clashaniska 5/1 could be the one to prosper but I hope not and I will back two horses one that's top rated on 2021 times, SHESADABBER 6/1, and HAVEONEYERSELF 10/3 who is top rated using a time recorded over this course and distance in 2020 and this one has a decent jockey record on this stables older horses. 

4:25 Newmarket Racing Tips (10th July)

NEWMARKET 4.25 

The Darley July Cup a Group 1 five furlong dash, I doubt there will be anything in at a single figure price that I would look to lay, the seven 3yos in the race are potential dangers although on the clock they would have to improve to win this race but never say never with young horses and 2 of them Creative Force and Dragon Symbol are front running types who are both drawn low so they could be potential dangers and they do have the best figures of the 3yos but they are not good enough to top my list of speed figures, Emararty Ana is another potential pacesetter and could go well from the front and has a rating that could see it possibly make the frame, Oxted is my 2nd top rated horse in the race and drawn high but I am hoping the two 3yo front runners can go fast enough to keep those drawn low in the race and then I'm hoping that from stall 4 STARMAN 9/2 can track the pacesetters and then stay on the stronger at the finish.

In this race I will be looking to lay Spirit Power 10/1 who has only relatively slow times mainly because it doesn't seem to like good to firm ground and also Big Thanks 5/2 who did finish 2nd last time out but in a slow run affair and it might not be able to go with the pace of Shesadabber who is the one I think will set the pace to the race and this one would maybe be carrying some of my money as it could do well with an easy lead although the trainer does have a 13% win ratio with the stables older horses he is 0-11 in the last 2 weeks and its 22 runners and 49 days since their last winner also the jockey is 1-14 for the stable which doesn't inspire any confidence so I will be backing the top weight Thrilla In Manila who has decent trainer stats and has had a couple of winners in the last fortnight and could get a good tow into the race being drawn next to the horse I think will lead. With my original selection Thrilla In Manila now being a non-runner I will be having a wager on SHESADABBER 7/2 who can now lead all the way, there is a few negatives concerning the trainer/jockey stats but I also have negatives against all the other runners as well.

Another 7 runner race so no each way bets, I will look to lay Billian 5/1, I very rarely lay 3yos but as I am backing another 3yo in this race I will go with laying this 3yo, as I think its a better horse when racing over 5 furlongs and could find this trip too far for it and I will also lay *Fendale 11/2 who hasn't shown much good form on turf for awhile now and looks poor value at the price, I've got joint 2nd top rated horses in Coase and Toussarok but I'm not convinced the former wants good to firm going while I think the latter will set the pace to the race but I will be putting my money on ROYAL ADVICE 9/2 who has a positive jockey booking as he has a 17% win ratio for the stable and it recorded its best time earlier this year over this course and distance and a reproduction of that time, as long as nothing else improves unexpectedly it should be winning a shade cosily.
