4:11 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (18th April)

WOLVERHAMPTON 4.11 

A nice looking class 4 with 3 runners that can lead, I will look to lay Lihou 7/1 who is better over shorter distances and *Sarah's Verse 6/1 who might be outclassed at this level, the 2, Another Angel and Red Alert 15/2 at the bottom of the handicap could also be lays if they are single figure prices near the off time, Nationwide 3/1 is making its handicap debut who won last time out but it was in a slow time and could still improve but looks plenty short enough in my opinion, Condescence 4/1 could do best of those coming from off the pace but my top 2 are both possible pacesetters for this race with Rebel Redemption sitting in 2nd top spot but my money will be riding on BEZZA'S LAD 12/1 (EW) who is my top rated using a rating it recorded over this course and distance this year and it is also my top rated on speed figures from Southwell and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch and at the price it has to be given as an each way wager.

Up to class 2 for this race with just one known front runner in the field, I think this distance is bit too short for Chiefofchiefs 12/1 to show its best form and might be worth laying if a single figure price, Treacherous 12/1 hasn't been in form lately but is capable of producing a good rating and may need this run for fitness and they could be lays if single figure prices, Fresh 5/1 may need this run for fitness and would need to improve time wise to win here so worth laying at the price, Capate's Dream is 2-3 on the AW surfaces and comes out 2nd top on my figures and could be an each way wager but i will be hoping that MOHAREB 15/2 who is the known front runner and if leading it ought to prove too hard to catch for today's opposition and if I go back to 2020 at Newcastle it has an even higher rating so hopefully it will lead all the way.

SOUTHWELL 2.25 

I will look to lay Digital 12/1 if its value to do so because it struggles to stay this distance in a true run race, Tommy De Vito 3/1 will need to improve time wise on its Newcastle rating to win this race but when a horse wins it can bring about improvement so I cant put it up as a lay, Shallow Hal would have every chance if able to reproduce its best 2020 rating but hasn't been quite up to that level since then, MOHAREB 13/2 has the best rating on just recent c/d speed figures and being the only known front runner in the race it could go very well from the front and will be carrying some of my money but I will also be backing *ASTRO JAKK 12/1 who is a very close 2nd on recent c/d speed figures and comes out in top spot on figures from Newcastle and Wolverhampton and this one has good trainer/jockey stats.

This race is hard to back down to a conclusion, Eye Of The Tiger 11/2 hasn't been in good form recently and one I will look to lay, *Decision Maker 10/1 may need this run for fitness so may be worth taking on with a lay bet, Inclement Weather 4/1 has a chance on my speed figures but the trainer is 0-3 at this course and the jockey is 0-24 for the stable so another one to consider laying, I will be covering the angles with 2 bets, TOPTIME 3/1 is one of 2 known front runners in this race it has good trainer/jockey stats and just top rated on c/d times on this new surface, the other bet is going to be on STORM OVER 20/1 also has good jockey stats but the trainer hasn't had a winner for the last 77 days but has the plum stall 1 draw and could go best of those coming from off the pace.

This is a poor race with 3 known front 'runners and of that trio I will be hoping that JEANS MAITE 8/1 can do best and is 2nd top on just recent c/d times and it is only a fraction slower than GLORIOUS CHARMER 6/1 so it could be very close between the pair of them I have to add into the mix BLUELLA 16/1 who comes out top on Tapeta speed figures but from the other two courses, the trainer does quite well here but hasn't had a winner in 43 days from 20 runners, I'm not sure there is anything of value to lay and my stakes will be kept low in a race which wont take much winning.

The early pace to this race could well be set by Barrington but I doubt it will be good enough for it to win but being my 4th top rated it could make the frame so maybe worth an each way bet if of value, I would look to lay Mrs Bagerran 13/2, Clear Angel 8/1 and Perfect Soldier 15/2 if they are single figure prices nearing the off, I will be splitting my bet between TELL’EM NOWT 4/1 and BERYL THE PERIL 7/2 the former will be trying to stay on at the finish as it races as though a longer trip might suit it better but has recorded what looks to be a decent speed figure on this new surface, the latter will be tracking the leaders and then stays on strongly at the finish and has good trainer/jockey stats.

Only 7 runners but no obvious front runner in the field so maybe best to keep stakes low, both Porfin and Portelet Bay need to improve time wise and they both may need further to show their true merits, Blazing Hot won over c/d distance last time out but it wasn't a fast run race so maybe that result has flattered it and might be worth risking with a lay if its a short price, Tanasoq is 2nd top on my figures and will be trying to stay on at the finish but my money will be riding on TATHMEEN 5/1 who would this race if it reproduced its best 2021 speed figure and had an even better rating from 2020 which would see it winning this race a shade cosily.

3:10 Southwell Racing Tips (9th January)

SOUTHWELL 3.10 

ABERAMA GOLD 10/1 its best rating on this Tapeta surface at Wolverhampton is quite a bit below what is required to win this race but its best over all rating on the Polytrack surface at Lingfield would make it my co 2nd top rated of 3 horses but I would look to lay it if of value. 

HELLO ME this horse is more than capable of reproducing its best speed figure but even that might not be enough to win this race but this 4yo is in cracking form and improving so could at least go well but at 11/4 it isn't of value. 

ASTRO JAKK has got good, 24% trainer, and 20% jockey, stats and is another of the 3 joint 2nd top rated horses in this race this time using a rating recorded in 2021 at Newcastle if getting a clear run from stall 10 it could go well. 

MOHAREB 8/1 is one of 4 known front running types in this race and started off as joint top rated using a time recorded at Newcastle in 2020 but the jockeys 3lb claim moves it to top spot so has to be respected and could go well. 

SOAR ABOVE hasn't run on this surface before and would need to improve time wise for the switch to this surface, it has pretty poor trainer/jockey stats so maybe this isn't its intended target. 

LOUIE DE PALMA is the 2nd of the 4 potential pacesetters in this race and in stall 4 it is nearest the rails of the front runners, it has good trainer/jockey stats but will need to improve on the time it recorded last time out over this c/d 24 days ago. 

FAUVETTE 4/1 has the plum stall 1 draw and usually likes to track the leaders so could get a good position on the rails just behind the leaders and ready to pounce nearing the finish and its another with good trainer/jockey stats. 

INVINCIBLE LARNE has poorish trainer/jockey stats and the trainer is 0-13 in the last 2 weeks and usually tracks the leaders or runs in midfield but would need to improve a little time wise to win this race. 

TEMPLE BRUER number three of the potential pacesetters in this race but has poor trainer/jockey stats and one i would look to lay if a single figure price, which i very much doubt it will be. 

REBEL REDEMPTION the fourth possible front runner but has poorish trainer/jockey stats and will need to improve time wise to be winning this race and will be one of the outsiders. 

SUMMARY: With the four possible front runners in this race it could be a fast and furious early pace and they might then fade and set the race up for one finishing from off the pace both ASTRO JAKK 8/1 and FAUVETTE 4/1 fit that bill and they both have the same speed figure so it might be down to which one gets the clearest passage throughout the race so I will be backing them both but if from stall five MOHAREB 8/1 gets to the front it could be the one to lead all the way so hopefully i will be able to dutch the three of them.

4:45 Newcastle Racing Tips (3rd December)

NEWCASTLE 4.45 

This looks a good race for a class 5 affair WITH a full complement of 14 runners with just one known front runner amongst them, firstly there isn't any horse I could put forward as a lay because everything I have a negative against are forecast to be a double figure price so don't represent any value, before looking at any apprentices claim there is only 5lbs between my top five ratings, Chookie Dunedin 14/1 starts off as my 5th top rated but the apprentices 3lb claim moves it up to 3rd top spot but this one hasn't been in good form recently but could possibly be worth an each way interest, Burrows Seeside 6/1 and Gowanlad 6/1 are my joint 3rd top rated before being relegated into joint 4th top spot, Hart Stopper 11/2 starts off as my top rated and the apprentices 5lb claim would move it further clear but the jockey is 0-3 on the stables older horses and has only ridden one previous winner for the stable and may need this run for fitness after about 6 months off, my money will be riding on SPARTAN FIGHTER 6/1 who is the one I think will set the pace to the race and is well drawn in stall 12 to do just that and has been found a good chance to follow up its win last time out and the apprentice jockey has a decent 15% win ratio on the stables older horses.

This class 3 race looks very very tricky, 7 of the 13 runners have been known to lead before so it could end up being a frantic early pace and I think a lot of the field will struggle to get involved and the leaders will be hard to peg back, I will look to lay Tommy De Vit (now a non-runner) who has pieces of form that look good but both of its wins came in relatively slow run races and that wont happen here, both Giogiobbo and Tathmeen are capable of producing a good speed figure but the former usually does so in lower class races and the both have been in poor form for quite a while now, the rest I have negatives against are forecast to be double figure prices so will be left alone, I will be backing two horses in this race and i am hoping they will both be each way prices, MOHAREB 16/1 (EW) is a front running type and stall 10 should be a bonus although I have been looking at a 2020 rating and hasn't been quite as good so far this year, the other is KIND REVIEW 14/1 (EW) who is drawn in stall 8 but this one hasn't been in good form lately but it did record its top rating earlier this year and if coming back to form it would have every chance of winning this race from the front so i will be going with two each way wagers in this race.

3:05 Salisbury Racing Tips (2nd September)

SALISBURY 3.05 

A field of 7 take part in this class 2 race but more importantly is that I have no idea what will set the early pace, there are four 3yo’s in this race which could still improve with time and experience, I will look to lay Crazy Luck who doesn't seem to appreciate good to firm ground so hence its times have been comparatively slow, while Chocoya is still a maiden after 9 races and may also need further, the top weighted Mountain Brave is my 3rd top rated who could go well but as there's only 2 places up for grabs it wont really be an each way prospect, the bottom weighted Silent Flame is my 2nd top rated and could deploy any tactics but hasn't been known to lead but has 3 win and 2 placed efforts from just 6 AW runs, if QUICKSTEP LADY 4/1 can reproduce the time it recorded at Windsor when it won there it could win this race with a bit in hand plus the jockey has a 19% win ratio on the stables older horses.

I can see horses in this race that have been known to lead before but this race is very competitive time wise and its a race where I will have to dutch 4 horses, 2 that might lead and 2 that will stay on strongly at the finish, the betting will decide if there is any lays in this race but I doubt there will be more than one, MOHAREB 15/2 and PAPA STOUR 12/1 are the 2 that could try to set the pace, the former is top rated on just 2021 course and distance times which is only good enough for joint 3rd top rated on my overall figures while the latter has a time from Chelmsford this year that would make it my top rated but that is on a different surface but its only course and distance run resulted in a time too low to register on my figures so I'm not quite sure what to expect, YAZAMANN 16/1 has good trainer/jockey stats and its best time was recorded in 2020 which makes it the other joint 3rd top rated while its not ran on this surface this year so could go well, STRIKE RED 4/1 comes out 2nd best on my overall figures but this time I'm using a time it recorded on turf at Hamilton, I cannot narrow it down to anything less than the four horses mentioned so dutching all of them looks the safest option.

CHELMSFORD 8.55

Only 6 runners with the top 2 in the handicap being known as front running types and they come out 4th and 3rd top rated on my figures so it should be a good gallop from the off, I think the 3yo Shanghai Rock may need further to show its best while another 3yo Ocean Eyes is held by the 3rd 3yo in the race, Lucky Ava, my 4th top rated, the bottom weight Storm Melody comes out 2nd best and could run on well at the finish along with my top rated SIR HECTOR 7/1 who is usually held up at the back but it hasn't any surface form over this distance this year but its best time from last year would see it winning this race.

6:25 Newcastle Racing Tips (29th July)

NEWCASTLE 6.25 

I usually love AW racing but to be truthful neither of today's class 3 races fill me with confidence, May Remain has won in Ireland and has a time from Kempton that would make it my joint top rated and its one of two known front running types in this race but whether it can reproduce that time on this surface I have no idea but its one try over this course and distance resulted in a time too slow to register on my figures so I will stick with the proven, COPPER KNIGHT 3/1 is the other likely front runner and its time from 2020 makes it my other joint top rated but its best time for this year has been quite a bit slower, the one that comes out top rated on just 2021 course and distance times is SALUTI 13/2 who likes to track the leaders and then stay on strongly at the finish so I will back them both to cover the angles.

Quite a mish mash of form in this race and looking at things I would never have thought it was a class 3 affair, I haven’t got one horse with a rating for this year and only one horse with a rating for this course and distance at least i can see five horses that have led before so it should be a true run affair and I think it ought to be won from the front, the 3yo Strike Red has a fast time from the turf at Hamilton but hasn't any form on this surface at this distance, Lipsink is versatile when it comes to its racing tactics, I will be backing two runners in this race and both of them do like to lead, MOHAREB 11/2 who is the only one who has recorded its best time over this course and distance which happened in 2020 but hasn't any form to its name for this year and the jockey is 0-5 for the stable but isn't quite top rated as PAPA STOUR 7/1 has a faster time but it was recorded at Chelmsford which is a different surface so cannot be ignored and it does have fairly good jockey stats.

5:15 Newcastle Racing Tips (4th December)

NEWCASTLE 5.15 6f Class 3 

The bottom 3 in this handicap maybe outclassed at this level in terms of winning the race but could run ok, the two 3yo’s Juan Les Pins and Gowanlad could also run good races but would need to improve time wise to win this race but that's not out of the question, I will split my bet in this race with 2 selections, ASTRO JAKK 13/2 who likes to track the leaders and then stay on dourly at the finish is my top rated on just 2020 c/d times which is usually a positive for its chances and the jockeys record of one win from two rides makes me think they are hoping/expecting to follow up here from their win last time out but I am also interested with the top weight MOHAREB 13/2 who hasn't any c/d form this year but it has a time from 2019 that would make it a big contender for the race and this is a drop in class for it, even in stall 9 in the make-up of this race it could lead or at least contest the lead and if getting to the front it ought to prove hard to catch.

There's at least 5 horses that have only poor recent form but they all look to be outsiders looking at the tissue prices plus the 3 at the bottom of the weights may not be of this class of horse so that's over half the field on my shouldn't be able to win list, if only it was that easy, Exchequer, Pearl Of Qatar and Prophecy have all been known to lead if nothing else wants to and maybe the middle one will do best of those running from the front if deploying those tactics in this race, my top rated on just 2020 c/d times is NUBOUGH 9/2 who will be carrying some of my money, it is usually found running either in midfield or held up for a late charge but I will also be backing FRIENDLY ADVICE 16/1 (EW) who is dropped in class to run in this race and if able to reproduce its best Wolverhampton time at this course would have a decent chance of getting back to winning ways and at the price has to be given as an each way wager.
