3:20 Redcar Racing Tips (28th July)

REDCAR 3.20 Div I 

A 15 runner race in a class 6 affair and to be honest I probably should leave these 2 divisions alone and there is several 3yo’s and also some lightly raced types and to be honest these races wont take much winning but I will be having a small wager in the race if *EPEIUS 12/1 (EW) is a double figure price so I can have an each way punt as it has a good time for this class which it recorded at Pontefract in 202 and an even higher speed figure from 2019 when winning at Hamilton but it hasn't shown much in its 3 runs this year but as long as its good to firm ground I will have a small each way punt.

REDCAR 3.55 Div II  

This 2nd division falls into the same category as the 1st division where the race wont take much winning and there's a few 3yo and other lightly raced sorts so any stakes have to be kept low but i have seen that FIRM DECISIONS 14/1 is similar to my 1st selection punt in that it has a time from 2020 at Newmarket that is above this lowly class of race and again it has an even better speed figure from 2019 at Carlisle and if it can repeat either of those times it would be winning a shade cosily. Please don't go mad in these two races they are risky punts and it is only the prices that make any appeal and I would maybe go with a place only bet on Betfair or 25% win and 75% place.

1:35 Ayr Racing Tips (26th April)

AYR 1.35 

A 8 runner race and I'm hoping all of them take part, only Gunnerside has been known to lead even then only on sufferance, I will look to lay Mo Henry if of value as it hasn't won since 2017 and Deevious Beau who might struggle to stay the trip if there's a decent early pace, there is 2 more I could look to lay but I doubt they will be of value, Global Humor is 2nd top on recent times but only 4th top on overall figures, Kilconquhar is 3rd best on overall figures but that was from an AW time, Paddy Power has a time from 2019 that would make it my 2nd top rated but I will be going with the top rated *EPEIUS 10/1 who comes out top rated on recent, 2020/21, times and that's good enough for 2nd top overall but it has itself a faster time from 2019 that moves it to top spot on overall figures but it wont be a race I will be betting to heavily in.

The early pace could be set by Glory Fighter but it is one of a few who don't like really fast ground but is 4th top rated, Bielsa is 2nd top rated on recent times but drops to 3rd top on overall figures, George Bowen is 3rd top on recent times but has a time from 2019 that would move it to top spot but only by 2lb’s, CALL ME GINGER 10/1 is top rated on recent times and 2nd top rated overall and the jockey has a decent 15% strike rate for the stable and will be the one I will be backing.

On my figures there isn't a lot between, Spring Bloom, Coronation Cottage, Katherine Place and Thegreyvtrain, 3 of them Spring Bloom, Coronation Cottage and Thegreyvtrain are all known to be front runners so it should be a fast run affair and maybe they might go off too fast and fade nearing the finish and as my top rated horse is one that likes to track the leaders and then stay on resolutely at the finish this race should be run to suit SHANI 28/1 and a repeat of its beat time from Bath in 2020 it would win a shade cosily.

THIRSK 6.30 

The pace could be set by the bottom weighted Tathmeen but this one doesn't want the going to be too fast and has only won once from 15 attempts on grass, Lezardieux might struggle to stay the trip with a fast early pace and maybe worth laying if a single figure price, there's very little between Wentworth Falls, Rathbone and I Am A Dreamer but they are 6th to 4th top rated, Music Society sits in 3rd top spot, using a 2091 time, just 1lb below Spanish Angel in 2nd top spot who usually runs in midfield before staying on at the finish, I will be backing GUNMETAL 4/1 who usually likes to track the leaders and then stay on strongly at the finish.

7:00 Newcastle Racing Tips (16th October)

NEWCASTLE 7.00 

This race is quite poor and I cannot find much to say about most of the runners, the only known front runner is Jungle Speed but I'm not sure the surface will suit this one so I will look to lay it (Jungle Speed + War Whisper + Fair Alibi + Ghathanfar), I've only got 5 with recorded speed figures and there's a few lightly raced sorts in the race and the less data I've got to work with the less confident I am on my selections, Fair Alibi and Nubough will need to improve on their best times to win this race which leaves me with 3 to study in more depth, Etikhal is my 3rd top rated and will be running on at the finish but needs to improve a few spots to win the race but it could easily make the frame, my top rated on just 2020 times which is always a bonus is MUTANAASEQ 14/1 (EW) who is a hold up type and at the price has to be worth an each way punt but EPEIUS 7/1 has a faster time from 2019 and if repeating that time would win a little cosily but with so many runners with little form to work with my stakes wont be at full strength.

3:55 Pontefract Racing Tips & Lay Bets (7th July)

PONTEFRACT 3.55 

The type of sprint that I hate as there are no known frontrunners in the race, it makes analyst very hard and I try to go through every scenario imagining each horse in turn leading. I will look to lay (*True Mason 1point + Shawaamekh 1point) I am not sure Walhaan will like the going, if it is good to firm, and may need further so it ought to be on my lay list but this 4-year-old could still improve also Golden Apollo won't be at happy if it is fast going and should also be on my list of lays in this race, George Bowen is my 3rd top-rated but has been in poor form lately, Watchable is my 2nd top-rated on 2019/20 times but does have a time from 2018 that would make it my top-rated by 1lb, but was nowhere near that level last year so my money will be riding on SUMMERGHAND 6/4 1point win who recorded its best time this year at Newmarket and has finished 2nd on its last 2 runs and has been found a good opportunity to go one better here.

PONTEFRACT 4.30

There's a few to lay here, (Mutanaaseq 2points + Jewel Maker 2points + Sheepscar Lad 2points + Henley 2points + Avenue Of Stars 1point) as for finding the winner I will be backing *MR WAGYU 5/1 who is the only known frontrunner in the race, it has the 2nd best speed figure for 2020 and the 2nd top figure overall if using its best 2018 time so could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead and it could steal the race from the front, MUTABAAHY 8/1 has poor jockey/trainer stats but has the fastest time for 2020, EPEIUS 7/1 has an interesting jockey booking and its time from 2019 would make it my top-rated, ROUND THE ISLAND 9/1 has the fastest time overall if using just 2019/20 times and the trainer does well at this course, I will go with dutching the 4 selections with 1point win on each of them.

This isn't a race I would normally bother with but there is only one known front runner in TEEPEE TIME 5/1 and it was beaten, after leading, by ALBA DEL SOLE 4/1 and on the revised weights for this race it should be much closer than the 2 lengths in their last race and I think the race should be at the mercy of these two so I will back them both.

2:40 Ayr Free Horse Racing Tips & Lay Bets (22nd June)

AYR 2.40 

I am not going to write much when I am not even sure if the going will be good or better, let's keep my fingers crossed. I will look to lay (Macs Blessing + Archies Lad + Let Right Be Done + Corton Lass) for various reasons, Jessie Allan is my 3rd top-rated and the only known frontrunner in the field so could be dangerous and might be worth an each-way interest, my 2nd top is LINCOLN LAD 11/8 but is actually top rated on just 2020 times and I think it will be a fairly hot favourite after finishing 2nd last time out, one horse that can win without prior warning is also my top rated using its best 2018 time and is only 1lb below the favourite on 2020 times so I will have to also back EXTRASOLAR 15/2 just in case it springs back to form here.

This race is a tricky looking affair I will look to lay (B Fifty Two+ Obee Joe) who usually finds this trip too far on good to firm ground, Redrosezorro is a possible pacesetter but I think Mr Wagyu 11/4 is the one who I think will set the pace and could be very dangerous IF the going is good to firm but isn't any value at the price, even if the going is in its favour, on the balance of things I will have the one bet on EPEIUS 10/1 who is top-rated on 2019/20 times and at the price I would mark it down as an each-way wager, there is a few ifs and buts so my stakes will not be at full tilt.

This looks a cracking class 3 handicap and of course it is also very competitive, there is plenty of known early pace so should be a fast and furious dash, if the going is good to firm I will lay (National Anthem + Lomu), Eeh Bah Gum is a possible leader and top-rated on just 2019/20 times and is co 3rd favourite the other 2 being Powerallied and Wentworth Falls and these 2 should be staying on at the finish, 2nd top is Lord Riddiford who likes to track the leaders and then stay on strongly, my top rated is JUSTANOTHERBOTTLE 9/2 who is a frontrunner and stall 9 is perfect and this is a drop in class and hopefully can lead from start to finish.

6:05 Newcastle Racing Tips (8th November)

As you may have realised I haven't been posting for the last 2 or 3 days because I've had no internet connection, thanks to Talk Talk, I am now rushing around to try and catch up on results, speed figures etc so tonights blog will be short of the usual depth but all the essentials will be covered. 

NEWCASTLE 6.05

There's not a lot to write about in this race and its not a race to be betting too heavily in, the favourite is Astro Jakk who won at Southwell and being a 3 year old could still improve and it would need to win this race on a different surface,Paddy Power is capable of going well if in the right mood but hasn't shown much since the early part of this year, EPEIUS 10/1 is well weighted on its best form and it is my top rated and the trainer has a decent strike-rate at this course, my 2nd top-rated is MAGICAL SPIRIT 11/2 this 3-year-old is a front running sort and could still be able to improve from its win last time out so I will back them both to cover the angles.

I would leave this race well alone, those that do have a recorded speed figure are at the lower end of the scale and there's quite a few 3-year-olds and other lightly raced sorts and there's not enough data to form a confident solution 

CHELMSFORD 7.55 

My top 4 ratings in this race are closely rated and they all have good trainer and/or jockey stats so I will go with dutching, DREAMBOAT ANNIE 25/1 and PEARL SPECTRE 8/1 who are both front running types but not ideally drawn in stalls 9 and 10,the latter is my overall top rated but only by 1lb, the 3rd selection is BROUGHTON EXCELS who is 2nd top-rated on this years times and 4th top-rated overall and has the ideal draw in stall one to get a good early prominent position from which to attack late on, another that should be staying on is the 3 year old AQUARIUS 8/1.

NEWCASTLE 8.05

There isn't a lot of known early speed sorts in this race but The Grey Zebedee could take up the pacesetters role but I doubt it can hang on to lead all the way as its outside my top 3 ratings, the early favourite is Jeffrey Harris 5/2, it did win last time out but over 6 furlongs and may get found out for early speed dropped down to 5 furlongs here so I would look to lay it just because it looks poor value in my eyes, I've co-3rd top-rated horses in Mable Lee from a time in 2018, Gleaming Arch and Kibaar, so they could all be battling to make the frame, Extrasolar maybe on the decline with age but a time from 2018 would see it winning cosily here but its recent form has been quite poor, I will be having a small bet on GUARDIA SVIZZERA 9/1 who is, of course, my top rated but its still a maiden on the AW after 11 runs and its 19 races since it last won but the jockey does quite well for this trainer at this course.

3:45 Newcastle Racing Tips (1st November)

NEWCASTLE 3.45 

My top 4 ratings have all recorded their best times this year, I think Ascended my 4th top-rated and Bugler Bob in 3rd top spot could feasibly make the frame here but would need to improve timewise to win this race, *EPEIUS 6/1 is my 2nd top-rated and the trainer has a decent strike rate at this course and has to be on my shortlist, my top rated is LUCKY LODGE 7/1 but this ones losing run of 21 is a little off-putting and the stable also has the 3yo Daafr in the race and it would appear on jockey bookings this one might be the more fancied of the pair from the Antony Brittain yard or it could be a ruse to throw people off the scent, I will as always stick with the proven but might have a covering bet on the 3yo if its fancied in the betting.

There's 5 horses in this dash that have been known to lead before but none of them are in my top 4 ratings but Hard Solutions stall 11 and Longroom stall 5 could do best of the front runners, Landing Night comes out 4th best on this years times and its best from last year would only move it to 3rd top spot, the 3yo Be Proud is my original 3rd top-rated so could go well here, Henley is top rated on c/d times from this year and usually stays on strongly at the finish over this distance if I look at Wolverhampton times QAARAAT 6/1 is top rated but its on a losing run of 21 and is a maiden on the AW tracks after 9 attempts, my stakes in this race will be kept low and I might even dutch my top 4 if its of value.

This dash has only 1 natural frontrunning type in the race with Star Cracker my 3rd top-rated having been known to lead if nothing else wants to but it could be enough to see it make the frame, Encoded is my 4th top-rated but hasn't been in good form lately and the jockey booking does look a positive move so it could go well, Little Miss Lola comes out joint top-rated but I have had to delve back to 2017 to find that time so I'm not if it can repeat its best from that long ago, my top rated is LORD OF THE GLEN 5/1 who is the one I expect to try and set the pace in this race, I would be more confident if it wasn't on a losing run of 27 races but there's a few others in the race with long losing runs but it does mean my stakes won't be at full strength.

6:25 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (18th October)

WOLVERHAMPTON 6.25 

Quite a tricky race to unravel, Baby Steps has been known to lead before but may not be quick enough to lead here as it might need further to shine, *DIZZY G 11/1 would be an easy winner if it can reproduce its best turf speed figure here so has to be backed, El Hombre could feasibly make the frame if running to it's best being 3rd best on my c/d figures, Moonraker might struggle to stay the trip in the make-up of this race as might Last Page who has won over c/d but only in a slow time, I've got joint top-rated horses in the 3-year-old POWER LINK 5/2 who could still improve so cannot be discounted plus the trainer does quite well at this course with an 18% win ratio but it would need a 100% clear run to win on my figures and REFLEKTOR 17/2 who if leading here could prove very hard to catch, I will look to back all 3 selections to some degree or another and maybe tilted in favour of the front running Reflektor.

NEWCASTLE 7.05 

A full house of 14 running in this race, Ower Fly could potentially set the pace in this race which otherwise seems devoid of frontrunners and if allowed to dictate could be a dangerous opponent Upstaging isversatile with its racing tactics and has led before but only when nothing else wants to so maybe not today, Great Shot has a speed figure from Wolverhampton this year that would make it my 2nd top rated overall but the booked jockeys 1-37 record for this stable doesnt bode well, Oriental Lilly is being ridden by a 7lbclaiming apprentice which would put it in the mix timewise but it is a 2018 time it could make the frame but im doubting it will win, the 3 year old FUTURISTIC 10/3 has only run 3 times before, its time on turf was enough to win this race cosily but on its run over this c/d it would need to improve but could easily do so, it has very good trainer/jockey stats and I will have to back it, my top rated is EPEIUS 8/1 who’s best time from this year puts it at the top of my list and has a time from 2018 thats 4lb higher, I cannot see any option other than to back them both in this race but maybe tilted in the favour of the latter with the proven rating.

6:00 Newcastle Racing Tips (27th September)

NEWCASTLE 6.00 

This is a nice looking and very competitive apprentice jockeys class 6 handicap and there are some unexposed horses in the race so my stakes will be kept in check, ive marked 4 down as lays and 2 of them are forecast to be single figure prices and if short enough would look value to lay plus another single priced horse that I dont think will like this surface, there looks to be a few that could try to set the pace, Packington Lane is a 3 year old that can lead but it would need to improve timewise to win and the same applies to Raypetafterme, Gorgeous General is my 3rd top rated and ikes to track the leaders, Encoded runs on well at the finish and comes out 2nd best on my speed figures, my money will be riding on STAR CACKER 11/1 if its each way price, its recent form has been quite poor but that has all been on grass but going back to its last run on the Aw which was over this c/d when it won and a repeat of that would see it back in the winners enclosure and im hoping the switch back to a favoured surface will rejuvinate its old form.

This looks poor even for a class 5 affair of the 11 runners I've only got 4 with times fast enough to register on my graphs and 2 of those horses, Buccaneers Vault and Oriental Lilly, did their best times last but they was a few spots behind EPEIUS 7/2 who has a good figure from 2019 which is 4lbs below its best in 2018 but either of those times would see it winning quite nicely unless any of the others improve dramatically but will be the one carrying my dosh, the other one with a speed figure is Stewardess who seemed to get towed along in a fast run race at Wolverhampton last year but hasn't been near that level since.
