6:10 Brighton Racing Tips (3rd May)

BRIGHTON 6.10

Just 7 runners for this class 5 sprint with just Pinwheel known to have led before but this distance might be too short for it to win but never say never especially if allowed an easy lead and can the kick for home and pinch the race from the front. Batchelor Boy may need this run for fitness, Jupiter Express 13/2 may prefer a shorter distance, Street Parade 5/1 is another that may need the run for fitness, I think Forca Brasil 11/2 and Mount Mogan will be double figure priced outsiders but I'm wrong with one of them, which leaves me putting my money on BIG BARD 13/8 who usually races in midfield before staying on the stronger at the finish.

KEMPTON 9.00

Just 8 runners for this class 6 sprint where I expect Fiscal Policy, Lady Holly, Flagman and Raphel Jake to be outsiders in this race as they have shown very little worthwhile form, so it was a surprise when I saw Fiscal Policy was 9/2 joint 2nd favourite which always sets off the alarm bells in my head because on all known form it should have very little chance of winning this race so either they know a lot more than me or its of value to lay but which only time will tell. Dulcet Spirit 5/1 races as though a longer distance would suit it better and might be value to lay, my 3rd top rated is Magicinthemaking who might be better over further and it would need to improve a good few spots time wise to win this race but I'm not sure if I could lay it but my top 2 ratings look to have this race between them. AGAPANTHER 9/4 beat DELLA MARE 9/2 when they met last time out and strictly on the revised weights then the latter should turn the form around but the former that day could have been pushed a bit harder and it says it was eased nearing the finish in that race so the figures may not be 100% reliable but on all known form I can't see anything else in the race beating this pair but I doubt they will be worth dutching and I cannot say with any certainty which one of them will win so any bets in this race will depend on the odds available.

4:55 Brighton Racing Tips (2nd May)

BRIGHTON 4.55

A field of 11 for this class 6 sprint where I expect the early pace might be set by Liberty Bay 20/1 but this one hasn't produced much time wise since 2021 but might be worth a small each way punt as it could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead as its best rating from 2021 would make it my 2nd top rated horse. Madrinho 6/1 hasn't won a race since 2021 and might be worth laying if its a single figure price, McQueen 4/1 might need a longer trip to show its best work as might Rainbow Sign 7/1 but I doubt they will be a single figure price (which goes to show how much I know about predicting the betting). No Speed Limit 5/1 and Autumn Flight 6/1 on the other hand might prefer a shorter distance to shine so I could look to lay these if they are of value to do so. Hagla Sophia 4/1 usually races in midfield before staying on at the finish and could make the frame but I doubt it will be an each way price and if fully fit on its first run for quite a while, I will take a punt in this race on MINHAAJ 10/1 (EW) who usually stays on strongly over this distance and might be worth a small each way punt.

WOLVERHAMPTON 5.40

Another field of 11 for this class 6 dash this time I can see 2 horses that have been known to lead before, Next Second could possibly lead if nothing else wants to and if allowed an easy lead then could be a danger but I think the early pace will be set by Rockley Point 7/4 who comes in 4th on my ratings and could do enough to make the frame and to me looks poor value to back but I also couldn't lay it in case its allowed an easy lead and leads all the way. Pandemic Princess 11/1 and Bankrupt 5/1 both usually run on at the finish over this distance but both would need to improve time wise to win this race. Red Allure has a good time to its name from Newcastle but its not done anything worthwhile time wise at this course since 2021, Iconicdaay also has a good rating but has never won over this distance and hasn't been in good from recently. My money will be riding on WE’RE REUNITED 10/3 who will be staying on strongly at the finish, it indicated a return to form when finishing 3rd last time out and if getting some luck in running when making a challenge it could get back to winning ways here but I will admit I was expecting it to be about double the price on offer.

WOLVERHAMPTON 6.10

One extra runner here to make it 12 runners for this class 6 sprint where the early pace looks most likely to be set by Another Angel 4/1 who happens to be my 4th top rated and with an easy lead could at least make the frame but I doubt it will be an each way price. If Jumira Bridge 15/2, Hard Solution 18/1 and Fair And Square 5/1 are single figure prices I would look to lay them all as they seem better prospects over shorter distance races. Catesby 15/2 comes out 3rd top on my figures and usually races in midfield before trying to stay on at the finish, BUNGLE BAY 11/2 is my 2nd top rated using a course and distance time it recorded last year and the switch back to turf could see this one bounce back to form and the same can be said for YAAHOBBY 14/1 (EW) who also recorded its best time over this course and distance last year and i will be backing them both, with a win bet on the former and an each way wager on the latter, hoping at least one of them can reproduce its previous best.

4:05 Chepstow Racing Tips (22nd August)

BRIGHTON 1.00

A 6 runner race where half the field have been known to lead, Porfin 7/2 who won last time out may be better over further and could get outpaced here at the minimum distance, Haveoneyerself 9/2 and Newyorkstateofmind 5/1 have both been in poor form recently and would need to improve time wise to win this race, Shamshon 15/2 seems a much better prospect in lower class races which leaves me with Street Parade 9/4 who is my 2nd top rated and is one that likes to lead as does my top rated horse POP DANCER 4/1 and if this one gets to the front it ought to prove hard to catch.

Pop Dancer 6/1 2nd -1pt

CHEPSTOW 4.05

The usual poor grade 6 stakes race where the top official rating is just 50 and only 3 of the runners are rated that high, Thegreyvtrain is my 3rd top rated but has been fading near the finish in every race lately and I doubt that will change here but it could make the frame if others falter, Mr Pc 9/2 and Fossos 8/1 are my 4th top rated and the latter is a front running type while the former is one of the 3 horses rated 50 so they could both run ok here, Notra Maison 5/1 is another 50 rated horse and my 2nd top rated so it could make the frame if reproducing its best, the 3rd and final horse rated 50 is the 3yo HATTIE C 12/1 who can be held up or track the leaders and comes out in top spot on my speed ratings and a reproduction of its rating 2022 rating at Salisbury would see it return to winning ways and at the price I have to go with an each way wager.

SOUTHWELL 6.40

A class 6 race with 9 runners over the minimum distance with two known front running types, the top weight So Grateful 2/1 might need further to show its best and at that price I would be prepared to take the risk and lay it, Harrogate 7/1 will be staying on at the finish and could run on into a place so might be worth an each way bet, Duke Of Firenze hasn't been in such good form so far this year but its best rating from 2021 would see it make the frame, Mews House 8/1 has been known to lead before but time wise it would need to improve to win this race but could be a another contender to make the frame, Birdie Bowers 15/2 who is my 2nd top rated is the one I think will set the pace to this race and could make the frame from the front but I will be backing USTATH 5/1 who finished 2nd last time out behind Birdie Bowers but is weighted here to reverse the form and is my top rated using just course and distance times since the new surface was laid at the end of last year.

2:45 Brighton Racing Tips (21st August)

BRIGHTON 2.45

I hope all 8 runners take part in this class 4 race where I can see four known front running types one of them *Holbache 4/1 might not be up to winning at this level and might be worth laying if a short enough price while both of the other two possible pacesetters, Smeaton's Light 11/2 and Michael's Choice 7/1, would need to improve time wise to be winning this race, Batchelor Boy 5/1 has one time that would make it my top rated but that time which was recorded over this course and distance might have been a fluked time where everything fell into its favour, I will be relying on the fourth and final front running type HELVETIQUE 11/2 in this race and if this one gets to the front it could prove hard to catch and the jockey has a decent 16% win ratio on the stables runners.

SANDOWN 4.12

A strange race for one over the minimum distance with only one known front runner in the shape of Silky Wilkie who comes out sixth on my figures and could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead, the three year old Edward Cornelius 15/2 could be a lay if its a single figure price as it doesn't seem to like fast good to firm ground, Devils Angel 15/2 would need to improve quite a few spots time wise to win this race so maybe another one to lay, The Thin Blue Line and Primos Comet are capable of recording fast times but have never won at class 3 level but I doubt they will be of value to lay, unless your a big risk taker, Treacherous comes out in 2nd top spot so could make the frame but my money will be riding on the improving four year old GLORIOUS BREEZE 15/2 who has made the frame in all of its last six races, winning two of them and should be capable of at least making the frame again here and has a chance of following up its win last time out Salisbury but because it is raised in class my stakes will be kept low.

2:20 Brighton Racing Tips (5th August)

BRIGHTON 2.20

There's 12 entrants of which 5 have been known to lead before, I am not sure if I can see anything worthwhile to put forward as a lay bet in this race but that may change when I've seen the betting, Smeaton's Light and Michael's Choice are my joint 5th top rated and possible pacesetters, Recon Misson my 4th top rated and Doc Sportello in 2nd top spot are also known as front running types so this race could be fast and furious and I think they will battle hard for the lead here and then be tiring nearing the finish and play into the hands of something coming from off the pace, Evasive Power is my 3rd top rated and can track the leaders or be held up for a late run but if BATCHELOR BOY 14/1 (EW) can reproduce its best rating which it recorded over this course and distance last year it would come on hard and fast at the finish and win this race with a bit too spare and if an each way price then all the better.

BRIGHTON 4.25

A field of 9 with 1 known front running type amongst them, Mr Pc 11/2 finished 2nd over this course and distance in a slow run affair and hasn't won before on grass from 10 attempts it could run ok and does have decent trainer stats and good jockey stats so it will be a smaller lay but I would still look to lay it on the win part only, others that could possibly be looked at with the objective to lay them are, Our Man In Havana 6/1 who may need further and Hot Hot Hot 5/1 for the same reason, Ard Up is a hold up type and my 4th top rated, Hattie C 16/1 comes out in 3rd top spot and Lethal Angel sitting in 2nd top spot so any or all of them could run well but I will be backing KING CRIMSON 10/1 (EW) who is my top rated and also the only known front running type in the race so could set the pace and lead from start to finish and at a double figure price it has to be backed each way.

1:00 Brighton Racing Tips (13th July)

BRIGHTON 1.00

A 5 runner race with 2 known front running types, Wiley Post (even money) is forecast to be the six to five favourite but I will look to lay this one as it doesn't seem to appreciate fast good to firm ground and might have been flattered when it won its last race which was a slow run affair so might get outpaced here, T Maxie and Haveoneyerself are my joint 3rd top rated with the latter being one of the known front running types in the race, the 11yo Shamshon can still run a decent race but without winning lately so I will be backing VANDAD 4/1 who could set the pace to the race and if getting to the front should prove hard to catch.

CATTERICK 4.05

Just 5 runners again here with Abate 11/8 looking the most likely leader but it would want to set a slightly slower pace than usual to ensure it stayed the distance but I think it will be collared inside the final furlong so maybe worth laying especially if its the six to five price forecast on the early tissue prices, Oso Rapide is my 4th top rated just 2lbs below Embour in 3rd top spot but they are a few spots behind Natural Path in 2nd top spot which leaves me with the horse I will be backing the 3yo BAY BREEZE 11/2 who seems to love the good to firm ground and usually tracks the leaders and then stay on the stronger at the finish.

LINGFIELD (AW) 8.30

Wow the biggest field of the day of the sprints I'm interested in, either/or Stay Smart and Bowling Russian could set the pace to this race and the latter could do best of them being my 3rd top rated, the two 3yo’s Libertus 4/1 and Thisismydream 6/1 both run as though further would suit them better but the likely fast early pace here might suit them so I couldn't lay either of the confidently, I will look to lay Porfin 10/3 who is a better horse over shorter distances, I will be taking a bit of a punt in this race by siding with BIG IMPACT 6/1 who is returning after a break of over 270 days so might be ring rusty but if able to reproduce its best rating from Chelmsford last year it would be winning this race a shade cosily, maybe the betting will be the best guide so I will wait until I've seen the betting.

1:00 Wolverhampton Racing Tips (5th July)

WOLVERHAMPTON 1.00

A poor looking class 6 race where I cannot confidently find anything of value to lay and as for the winner that's just as vague, Charming Kid 12/1 and Secretfact 8/1 could be the one/s to set the early pace and the former could be a danger if allowed an easy lead and sets its own slower than usual pace and then kick-on and try and pinch the race from the front, Duke Of Firenze 12/1 is my 3rd top rated has good jockey stats but its 34 runners and 113 days since the stable last had a winner, Scale Force 7/1 is my 2nd top rated and will be trying to stay on at the finish the jockeys 0-4 record for the stable is a bit off-putting but the trainer has had a 2-9 winners in the last 2 weeks and might be the safest option in the race, top rated is Billy Dylan 4/1 but the trainer is 0-34 at the this course and hasn't had a winner from 13 runners over the last 180 days while the jockey is 0-9 for the stable, I think the winner will come from these three but which one I'm not sure and maybe dutching all 3 is the way to go.

WOLVERHAMPTON 1.30 Div I

This 1st division has a couple of front runners so it should be a true run race for the class, Wrought Iron 7/2 won last time out but in a slow run affair but I'm not sure I could lay this 3yo but it doesn't look good value at the price to win this race, I could possibly lay *Rogue Storm (non-runner) who looks better suited to a shorter trip, Million Reasons 10/1 might get outpaced in the early stages and then stay on too late to catch the leaders so another possible lay, Freedom Flyer 18/1 is my 3rd top rated and one of the possible pacesetters and could do enough to make the frame as long as it doesn't get drawn into a battle for the lead in the early stages, Independence Day 6/1 could be the one to do best of those coming from off the pace being my 2nd top rated but I will be hoping that *DRISH HERO 9/2 can set the pace to the race and then prove too hard to catch for the rest of the field.

WOLVERHAMPTON 2.00 Div II

This 2nd division only has 1 known front runner, I cannot see much to lay that I think be of value to do so but the betting will be the final decider, Youllovemewheniwin and Salta Resta are my joint 4th top rated horses, sitting in 3rd top spot is Griggy 7/1 but this one can find the trip a bit too far if there's a fast early pace which might happen in this race and the same applies to Gustav Graves 4/1 who sits in 2nd top spot but I am hoping that PORTELET BAY 13/2 who is the aforementioned front runner and my top rated so if setting the right pace should be able to keep the others at bay and lead all the way.

A field of 8 so lets hope they all run although I don't think I can see and each way bet, I cannot see anything of value to lay in this race so lets look for the winner, Chairmanoftheboard 6/1 is my 3rd top rated but that is using its best time from 2020 so not sure if it can repeat that rating so maybe I was wrong and this one could be worth laying, Recall The Show 9/2 is my 2nd top rated but that was recorded in lower class races than this one so maybe another I could look to lay but that's a bit risky if LAMPANG 10/1 doesn't do what I expect, it is my top rated and its the only known front runner in the race so hopefully it can lead all the way here and does have decent trainer/jockey stats.

BRIGHTON 5.40

A field of 12 with 3 known front running types, I can eliminate 5 of the runners as having virtually, never say never, no chance of winning but will all be double figure prices, King Crimson 6/1 is a possible pacesetter and my 4th top rated so could go well but the jockeys 0-10 record for the stable is off-putting, Hot Hot Hot 5/1 comes out 3rd best and will be trying to stay on at the finish but its only won once from 16 previous runs on turf and the jockeys record is 1-22 for the stable, Arzaak 4/1 is my 2nd top rated but its 141 days and 50 runners since the stable last had a winner, my top rated is Lethal Angel 16/1 but the trainer is 0-7 at this course and hasn't had a winner in the last month from 21 runners, I think the winner is most likely to come from my top four ratings but with them all having negatives against them I'm not sure which one will win so dutching the four of them might be the way to go or if there's no value in dutching them then maybe leaving the race alone might be best or is an each way bet on the outsider of the 4 the way to go. Not bet.

1:30 Brighton Racing Tips (21st June)

BRIGHTON 1.30

A typical sort of day where the 2 races I'm interested in are the first and last races of the day, its a pity there's only 7 runners here as I don't usually have an each way bet with only two places to compete for. I have got negatives against five of the runners in this race which doesn't happen very often but it might be ideal for me in this race, I could lay anything that's a single figure price except for Real Estate 7/2 who is my 2nd top rated but this horse has only won once before from 19 attempts but could go ok here and maybe the one for the forecast but my money will be riding on MOVEONUP 7/2 who is my top rated and the only known front running type in the race and has been found an ideal opportunity to follow up from the win it recorded last time out and the apprentice jockey has a very good strike rate for the stable.

NEWBURY 8.40

Eleven runners but just the one known front runner so the pace could be set by Enduring but it would need to improve time wise to win this race but might be one to lay in running, looking at the tissue prices Libertus 3/1 is forecast to be the favourite mainly because its a 3to and finished 2nd last time it ran but that run might have flattered it as it was a slow run race and if this race is run at a fast early gallop then this horse might need a longer distance to show its best, there is 3 other 3yo’s in this race the bottom two have shown very little but Kindness 14/1 could be a bit of a hidden danger but I couldn't back or lay it although it wouldn't be a surprise if it did win, Strike 10/1 comes out 3rd best on my figures and usually runs on at the finish after racing at the rear or midfield of the pack so is another that could make the frame, Vape 7/1 comes out in 2nd top spot but the trainer hasn't had a winner for a month now from 12 attempts and the trainers 0-23 record at this course is off-putting, I will be putting my faith in RAINBOW MIRAGE 6/1 who is a hold up type and the jockey booking looks a positive as the jockey won on its only ride so far for this stable but its been a long time since the stable last had a winner but they have only sent out 8 runners during that time so that can be excused.

2:55 Thirsk Racing Tips (14th June)

THIRSK 2.55

A field of 12 for this class 4 sprint, the early paced could be set by The Armed Man and/or Spartan Fighter and either could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead but there's a few that like to track the leaders which should ensure there is a fast early gallop, Huddle Up 9/1 doesn't seem to like fast going so will be a lay if of value to do so, East Street Revue seems better over shorter distances but I expect it will too big a price to lay, Badri is my 4th top rated and one that likes to track the leaders, as for finding the winner I have got 3 horses that could do so but all 3 also have negatives against their name, WENTWORTH FALLS 10/1 who’s jockey is 0-12 for the stable and the stable has a poorish win ratio of 8%, GHATHANFAR 4/1 the trainer is 0-14 runners and 42 days since their last winner and at this course they are 1-59 and the jockey is 0-15 for the stable, CAPTAIN VALLO 8/1 the trainer is 1-33 at this course with their older horses and its been 25 days and 8 runners since their last winner, I think I will go with dutching the 3 of them but my stakes will be kept on the low side because of those negatives.

A ten runner dash with two front running types, I could look to lay both of the 3yo’s in this race but I am always wary of doing so because at their age they can improve without warning although I think both of them will be better suited to a longer distance but hey ho I am no expert and have been caught out before laying young horses, Lost My Sock 5/1 also races as though it will be better off over further but comes out 3rd top rated on my figures so could run on and make the frame, Cool Spirit 25/1 is actually my top rated but only by 2lb’s and hasn't been in good form lately and doesn't usually win without giving a warning of a return to form before actually winning a race so i will place my money on HARROGATE 13/2 who is one of the 2 front runners I mentioned earlier and could hopefully lead all the way here and did win two runs ago so is in decent form.

A shame there's on 7 runners but hey ho it is what it is, firstly I will be looking to lay Shamshon 5/2 who might have been flattered when it finished 3rd last time out in what turned out to be a slow run affair and the pace in this race might be lot faster, Bowling Russiain 14/1 is my 2nd top rated but it is another that can struggle to stay the distance if there's a fast early pace but it might have been a worthwhile each way bet if there was 8 runners and 3 places up for grabs, I think the pace will be set by DOC SPORTELLO 8/1 who is my top rated and also the only known front running type in the race so it should be able to lead and if doing so will prove hard to catch and today's jockey has a good 31% win ratio when riding for the stable.

This doesn't look too bad for a class 5 race apart from there's quite a few relatively lightly run horses with not much data to work with which always makes analysis hard plus a field of 16 makes the task even harder, I've no idea what will set the pace to this race but I've found 2 horses that have ratings that are usually found in slightly better races than this one, DREAM TOGETHER 13/2 is my 2nd top rated but only 1lb off of the top spot and in the last 2 weeks the stable has sent out 9 horses of which 2 have won so the stable is in good form and this one has to be backed if the ground is the good to firm ground that it likes best, my top rated horse in this is HAIL SEZER 10/1 and this ones trainer 2-7 in the last 2 weeks, so another in form stable and if the ground is good `or faster I will be backing them both but might cut it down to just my top rated if the going is just good ground.

5:40 Brighton Racing Tips (14th October)

BRIGHTON 5.40

GLAMOROUS BREEZE usually races in midfield during the race and then stays on strongly at the finish and is my top rated on jut 2021 times and joint top rated on overall figures.

BATCHELOR BOY has been known to lead before but has only slow times from its 2 runs over this course and distance and may be better over a longer distance.

POP DANCER is the one that I expect will set the pace to this race and comes out joint 3rd top on my figures so could make the frame if repeating its previous best.

SHAMSHON is a hold up type and comes out 2nd top rated on just 2021 times but also its best from 2020 makes it joint top rated again so could go well.

COLOMBE I'm not convinced the good to firm surface suits this runner but does have good trainer stats at this course but has poor jockey stats and I would look to lay it.

ATTYS EDGE is another hold up type but time wise it would need to improve a good few spots so its not for me in this race and will lay it if a single figure price.

SPREADSHEET has slow times over this distance mainly because I think it needs a longer distance on fast ground and another I will look to lay.

ANDRE AMAR has a fast time from Bath this year but all of its best form and speed figures have all come in lower class races so may be outclassed in this race.

SUMMARY: Being the only sprint of the day worth looking at (the 2.10 race is poor even by class 6 standards and is best left alone) I hope all 8 runners take part so there's 3 places up for grabs if I find an each way wager, Pop Dancer my joint 3rd top rated could be an each way bet as I think it might set the pace to the race and prove hard to catch for some of the other runners, Andre Amar and Shamshon could also go well here but my money will be riding on the top weight *GLAMOROUS BREEZE 11/4 who usually races in midfield before staying on strongly at the finish and it will have the fast pace it likes to aim at.

2:10 Brighton Racing Tips (13th Septmber)

BRIGHTON 2.10

GREAT NEWS 3/1 this 3yo usually likes to track the leaders and races as though further would suit it better, time wise it comes out 5th top rated and this race might not be run to suit it.

MAMILLIUS 7/2 usually stays on at the business end of the race after tracking the pacesetters, time wise its 4th best on my figures.

RECALL THE SHOW 5/1 another that likes to track the early pace its best time was recorded over this course and distance which is good enough for 2nd top spot but the trainer is 0-6 in the last 2 weeks and its been 19 days since their last winner.

BATCHELOR BOY also recorded its best time over today's course and distance and it was a time good enough to take it to top spot and is usually held up for a late run.

BOOM THE GROOM 4/1 could set the pace to the race and a few years ago it would probably have won this race but it hasn't show much time wise since 2019.

GILT EDGE 17/2 a hold up type and is my 3rd top rated so could be staying on a bit too late to get to the front in time for the win.

SUMMARY: On my figures if BATCHELOR BOY 4/1 reproduces its earlier course and distance time it would be winning this race a little bit cosily and will be carrying my money.

BRIGHTON 5.30

ATTY'S EDGE 10/3 is a hold up type but only comes out 4th best on my overall speed figures so may not get to the leaders quickly enough for the win.

WE’RE REUNITED is another who will be staying on at the finish and the trainer does like to have winners at this course with a 21% win ratio with their older horses.

SIR RODNEYREDBLOOD 10/3 hasn't made the frame in 7 runs on grass and it might have more of a chance when tried over a longer trip and i will lay it if a single figure price.

KING CRIMSON 7/2 is the one that i think will be the one to set the early pace to this race and as its my 3rd top rated it could go well from the front.

CAPPANANTY CON 4/1 likes to track the leaders if it can as I think its better over further especially on good to firm ground so another I might look to lay.

ESSAKA has only poor recent form but it has a time from 2020 recorded at Bath that makes it my top rated and the jockey booking looks a positive so I'm hoping that's a good omen.

OCEAN WILDE 10/1 is a 3yo who has only slow times over this distance and races as though further might suit it better

SUMMARY: I will look to lay some of these when I know exactly what the going is going to be and of course the betting helps my decisions whether they are value to lay or not, I will split my stakes in this race and back both ESSAKA 10/1 and WE’RE REUNITED 8/1 who both like to track the leaders and then stay on strongly at the business end of the race and one is top rated on 2021 times and the other on my overall speed figures.

1:50 Brighton Racing Tips (6th August)

1:50 BRIGHTON

A strange race there's 9 runners but no known front running types but I have got negatives against the names of 6 of the runners and if knew for certain there would be a fast early pace I would look to lay, Red Alert, Ghepardo and Cappananty Con who all look better over shorter distances, the bottom weight The Lacemaker hasn't been in good form lately but does have a time from 2020 that would see it as my 2nd top rated but I would need to see some sign of a revival before putting any money on it plus the trainer is 0-9 at this course, GHERKIN 7/2 comes out top rated on just 2021 times and that time was recorded over this course and distance but my top rated is QUEEN OF BURGUNDY 6/1 and if able to repeat its best time from 2020 it would win with a bit in hand

A field of 12 with 2 known front runners amongst them, I'm not sure if I can trust a time recorded earlier this year over this c/d but if it wasn't a fluke time then the top 2 will have this race between them with a fair bit in hand, I will look to lay Tyger Bay if its a single figure price, SIR OLIVER 6/1 is my 3rd top rated and it was done over this course and distance sot has to be respected, TIN HAT 14/1 (EW) comes out 2nd top using a time from last year from Newmarket and could make the frame, BATCHELOR BOY 20/1 (EW) comes out my top rated again using a course and distance time but i will be backing all of my top 3 rated horses and each way bets where the price permits.

3:45 MUSSELBURGH

An 8 runner race with 3 pace setting types, I will look to lay Sunday Sovereign 6/1 who likes some cut in the ground to show its best, Ornate and Wrenthorpe will make sure there's a decent early pace and I've only got 2lbs between them on my ratings but they would have to improve time wise to win this race, Makanah, Embour and Mokaatil are my 4th to 2nd top rated using this years times so they could have each way chances but I will be backing JABBAROCKIE 6/1 who is the 3rd possible pacesetter and my top rated so if getting to the front it ought to prove too hard to catch.

Jabbarockie 6/1 6th -1pt

BRIGHTON 5.10

Twelve runners with just King Crimson known to like to lead but i doubt it can hold on for the win in this class 6 race, I will look to lay Breezyandbright 9/2 who might need further to show its best and has poor trainer/jockey stats with 3yo’s, Our Man In Havana, Wild Flower and Something Lucky have times that would make them competitive and could battle to make the frame but my money will be riding on AQUADABRA 22/1 (EW) who’s best time from 2021 makes it top rated for just this year and its 2020 time makes it top rated on overall figures and being drawn next door to the likely leader it could get a good tow into the race and then stay on the stronger at the finish and at the price has to be an each way bet.

Aquadabra 33/1 6th -2pt

Lay bet Breezeyandbright -4.5pts

Total -5.5pts

7:38 NEWMARKET

Just 7 runners and no known front runner amongst them which is always a bugbear in my analysis, I would look to lay the 3 at the bottom of the handicap, Yimou 9/2, Green Power and Dewey Road, if they are single figure prices and I have a negative against each one of them, Dancinginthewoods is my 2nd top rated on just 2021 times but its only 4th top on overall figures, Soar Above and Abate haven't got recorded times for this year but come out joint 2nd top rated on my overall figures, BEYOND EQUAL 9/2 who comes out top rated on 2021 figures and its best time from 2020 makes it top rated on my overall figures.

Soft ground - no bet as advised

Total on the day -11.5pts

NOTE: THE GOING HAS BEEN GIVEN AS GOOD AT THE THREE MEETINGS I AM INTERESTED IN BUT WITH HEAVY SHOWERS FORECAST PLEASE CHECK THE GOING BEFORE PLACING ANY BETS AND ANY SIGNS OF SOFT GROUND THEN IGNORE MY FIGURES AND ANALYSIS.

5:00 Brighton Racing Tips (13th July)

BRIGHTON 5.00

BOOM THE GROOM 15/2 I think is on the down slide with age, 10yo, it has slow distance times and needs further to show its best form and i will look to lay this one.

BUY ME BACK 5/2 the trainer has had 2 winners in the last fortnight but the record at this course is 1-34 which is off-putting but it is my top rated.

MINHAAJ 9/2 the jockey is 0-60 for the stable and the trainer is 0-20 in the last 2 weeks, it may need further in my opinion so maybe another one to lay.

STREET PARADE (NON-RUNNER) the first of 2 possible pacesetters but the trainer is 0-20 in the last 2 weeks but the jockey does have a decent record for the stable 2-4.

AISH 2/1 is the 2nd of the known front running types and is my 2nd top rated, it has good trainer stats and even better jockey stats and the trainer has had 3 wins in the last 2 weeks.

HEMMSA 6/1 a 3yo who has slow times as it may prefer further and is a maiden after 7 races and i cannot see it breaking its duck here so a lay if a single figure price.

SUMMARY: I have 3 that I could lay in this race and 2 I will back, I'm hoping AISH can get away quickly and set the pace to the race and could stay on for the win if allowed an easy lead but I do have BUY ME BACK rated a little bit higher and might have been my sole bet if it wasn't for the trainers record at this course.

4:10 Brighton Racing Tips (29th June)

I HAVE SAID THIS MANY TIMES BEFORE BUT PLEASE MAKE SURE THE GOING IS GOOD OR FIRMER AS MY FIGURES ARE ALL CALCULATED ON THAT SORT OF GROUND AND RAIN IS FORECAST IN SOME AREAS.

BRIGHTON 4.10

A 6 runner race with one known front runner among them, Minhaaj may need further to show its best and might be worth laying, It Must Be Faith hasn't won at this distance in the England and usually likes to track the leaders, Newyorkstateofmind is my 4th top rated and like all of my top 4 ratings its time was recorded this year, Wiley Post is in 3rd top spot but doesn't seem to like fast good to firm ground, Shamshon comes out 2nd best using a Windsor time but my top rated is the front running AISH 13/2 who also recorded its time at Windsor and the trainer does well at this course and I'm hoping it can lead all the way.

Aish 1st 7/1 +7pts

Lay bet Minhaaj +1pt

Total +8pts

HAMILTON 4.50

Only 7 runners with one front running type but Afandem usually fades at this trip unless allowed a very soft lead and I will lay it if of any value to do so, Gunmetal is my 3rd top rated but doesn't really like good to firm ground, LADY CELIA 9/2 is my 2nd top rated but the jockeys 3lb claim makes it joint top rated along with ROYAL ADVICE 12/1 and with them both being young horses they could both be capable of further improvement so I will be backing them both.

Abandoned

HAMILTON 5.20

For a class 6 race this 14 runner affair doesn't look too bad, firstly I will be looking to lay, Stronsay 5/1 who may need further to show its best, and Lord Of The Glen 9/1 I have 3 horses that are versatile with their racing styles which includes leading but they would all need to improve and there is one more natural front runner in the shape of ALSVINDER 7/1 who has good jockey stats and could go well and would be my only selection if it wasn't for the trainers 0-19 record at this course which is a little off-putting, i will look to lay Stronsay who might prefer a longer trip and Lord Of The Glen who has one win from 27 runs on turf, ROSE BANDIT 4/1 is my top rated on just 2021 times so has to be feared and usually tracks the leaders before staying on at the finish, the top weight HARD SOLUTION 5/1 will be running on at the finish and has both good trainer and jockey stats and the apprentices 5lb claim should help its chances.

Abandoned

CHEPSTOW 6.50

A 17 runner race with just one known front running type in the race, I cannot see anything of value to lay but that might change when the betting is known, I also cannot narrow it down to any less than 4 selections but I will be having one main bet and then back the other 3 to varying degrees to make a profit whichever one wins, Fard is the likely pacesetter and my joint 3rd top rated and the jockey booking looks a positive for the stable, Twice As Likely is the other 3rd top rated and the jockey has a 17% win ratio for the stable and both of them recorded their best speed figures this year, Our Man In Havana is my 2nd top rated using a 2020 time from Windsor and is another with good jockey stats and the apprentices 7lb claim could help its cause but most of my money will be riding on WIFF WAFF 9/1 who did its best time at Leicester last year and this race which doesn't look likely to be too fast in the early stages suits its favoured style of racing.

1:40 Thirsk Racing Tips (15th June)

THIRSK 1.40

This isn't a great race for a class 4 affair but there is one known front runner in the shape of The Armed Man but this ones recent times have been slow and its best time looks to be where it got towed along in a fast run affair, with nothing that I can see to lay and not being able to narrow it down to anything less than dutching 4 of the runners, FLAVIUS TITUS 12/1 has a time from last year that would put it top on my figures but hasn't won a race since 2019 but might be worth an each way interest, MUTANAASEQ 10/3 is 2nd top rated but is held by DICK DATCHERY 4/1 on recent form but the former has a faster time from Ripon that makes it my 2nd top rated while the latter is only 4th top on my figures, the 4th selection I'm going to dutch is NORTH WIND 11/1 who likes to track the leaders and this one has the best trainer/jockey stats of my 4 top ratings.

Mutanaaseq 10/3 2nd -1pt
North Wind 11/1 3rd -1pt
Dick Datchery 4/1 4th -1pt
Flavius Titus 16/1 6th -1pt

ASCOT 3.40

Superstar sprinter BATTAASH 9/4 makes it debut for the year and if fully wound up it should take this race but I am still not convinced this course is its favoured one but it has won here and in a fast time so it should be up to the task and I expect for a 16 runner race it will be a fairly short priced favourite, it is forecast on the tissue prices to be a 15/8 shot which if we knew it was 100% ready for this race would be a steal and it did win first time out last year so I will be backing it at the price and even better now that its drifted a little bit.

Battaash 9/4 4th -1pt

Total -1pt

THIRSK 5.10

There is 6 horses in this 12 runner race that have been known to lead before so it should be a fast and furious race, I will look to lay Albegone 9/2 and Debawtry 13/2 if single figure prices who I think will both need a longer distance to show their worth, True Hero has a time when it got a good tow in a fast run affair from 2019 that would make it my 2nd top rated but it hasn't won since 2018 but is a versatile sort when it comes to racing tactics, of the front runners maybe Sambucca Spirit might do best and looks to be drawn well in stall eleven, my pennies will be riding on BOUDICA BAY 9/2 who can track the leaders or be held up but stall 1 might not be helpful but if getting the rub of the green it has a chance to get back to winning ways.

Boudica Bay 17/2 3rd -1pt

Total -1pt

BRIGHTON 5.45

Only 7 runners and I will be looking to lay both Mahale 7/2 and Top Boy 8/1 as neither seem to like fast good to firm ground and with 2 known front running types in the race they might get outpaced in the early stages and then not be able to get back into contention in this race, Big Time Maybe is one of the front running types and comes out 2nd best on my figures but the other front running type is THEGREYVTRAIN 11/2 who also happens to be my top rated and if this one does get to the front it ought to prove very hard to catch and has good 23% trainer stats and even better 38% jockey stats making me think the connections are expecting it to get back to the winners enclosure in this race.

Thegreyvtrain 11/2 3rd -1pt

Total -1pt

BRIGHTON 6.50

A 5 runner race but again I have marked down 2 horses to lay as both Sir Oliver 15/8 and Shoot To Kill 7/2 can struggle to stay the sixth furlong in a fast run race and there is 2 known front runners in this race and they are my 2 top rated horses, Doc Sportello is my 2nd top rated and could be the one for the forecast but my money will be riding on the top weight KENDERGARDEN KOP 11/4 who has good trainer and jockey stats and I'm hoping it can lead all the way.

Kendergarden Kop 11/4 2nd -1pt

2:20 Brighton Racing Tips (28th May)

I have put this race forward as they are saying the going at Brighton is good, where everywhere else has the word soft in their going, so i will watch the first race on the card before deciding whether to have a bet or not and will only bet if there isn't any cut in the ground. If you are not able to check the going beforehand then you might be better off leaving the race alone.

BRIGHTON 2.20

TYPHOON TEN 10/3 has won once at this distance on good to firm ground, which i doubt it will get here, good going if lucky, the trainer has a 27% win ratio but is 0-7 with their older (4yo+) horses, this is a drop in class and comes out as my top rated plus they are using a useful 5lb claiming apprentice to further help their cause.

MAMILLIUS 11/4 has only slow times recently and i had to go back to 2018 to find its best time and that time would make it my joint 2nd top rated, its been racing over further recently and this drop back in distance could help it but the lack of early pace in the race could go against its chances.

SIR OLIVER 5/1 this one also has a 5lb claiming apprentice but if there is a good early pace then it might struggle to stay the distance and its best time is only good enough for 5th fastest but the trainer does well at this course and it could go well especially if there is a slow early pace.

BRUNEL CHARM 6/1 its one run over this distance produced a slow time which didn't register on my graphs, it also didn't record a figure on its run over this distance at Kempton but has both good trainer + jockey stats and could be dangerous if allowed to set the pace which it did before when nothing else wanted to lead.

STREET PARADE 8/1 the trainer has a poor 6% win ratio here while the jockey is 0-39 for this stable which doesn't bode well, time wise its my other joint 2nd top rated but i think this one might be reliant on good to firm ground to its best form.

DESERT LAND 4/1 this one sits in 4th top spot on my speed figures, it won last time out over this c/d and that's where its best figure comes from but would need to improve time wise to followup here and i think this is another horse that needs good to firm ground to show its worth.

LATENT HEAT 14/1 hasn't any form at this distance and everything points to it wanting further to show its best form so this race might not be run to suit its racing style and I would expect it to be an outsider.

SUMMARY: This is a hard race to analyse, R.Hannon’s top weight TYPHOON TEN 10/3 who is my top rated is dropped in class here and its only the trainers 0-7 with his older horses that makes me wonder what to expect but it will be carrying some of my money as it is one of only two in this race which I haven't got a negative against their name the other is BRUNEL CHARM 6/1 who is relatively lightly raced and if it decides to take on the front runners role it could prove hard to catch as it has been running over further and it might have the stamina to hold the others at bay but I am not confident enough to narrow it down further and the latter selection is only included in case its allowed to set the pace but if it becomes a slow early pace then virtually any of them could win so any stakes will be kept low.

Typhoon Ten 9/2 2nd -1pt
Brunel Charm 6/1 4th -1pt

2:00 Brighton Racing Tips (27th April)

BRIGHTON 2.00

Just 7 runners but Invincible Larne likes to set the pace so it should be an ok race as it is my 3rd top rated, this might be a bit short for Boom The Groom 9/1 to show its best on turf and hasn't won on grass since 2016 from 22 attempts, Shamshon seems to run well even when not winning but it has good trainer/jockey stats for this race but hasnt won on grass since 2019 from just 5 attempts, it finished a length behind ZULU ZANDER 7/2 on its last run and it is worse off at today's weights but if i go back to their 2020 times I've got just 1lb between them but once again it is in favour of the selection.

Zulu Zander 7/2 6th -1pt

BRIGHTON 3.00

This is quite poor even for class 6 standard, i am not sure what will set the pace which is always a problem when it comes to analysing a race, there's few that are out of form on latest runs, Storm Melody hasn't shown much since 2019 timewise, thats when it last won on grass but its best from then would make it my 2nd top rated, Real Estate my 4th top rated recorded its best time last year but hasn't been in good form of late, my 3rd top rated is Holdenhurst who recorded its best last year at Yarmouth which is where my top rated LETHAL ANGEL 3/1 recorded its best time and a repeat of that speed figure would see it winning a shade cosily.

Lethal Angel 4/1 5th -1pt

BRIGHTON 3.35

Only 5 runners but i still cannot narrow it down to any less than 2 selections, the lack of early pace doesn't help, I'm not sure what to expect from Lady Quickstep while Vape comes out in 4th top spot, I've got joint 2nd top rated horses in Street Parade, who is usually held up for a late run so this race isn't likely to be run to suit it, and RECALL THE SHOW 5/2 who did its best time over this c/d last time out which is always a positive plus the trainer does well at this course and that's the reason why I will be backing it, if THE LAMPLIGHTER 5/1 can reproduce its best time from 2020 it would be winning cosily but its time this year, admittedly from just one race, wasn't up to that level, i will be backing them both but probably with my stakes tilted in favour of the top weight.

The Lamplighter 5/1 3rd -1pt

AYR 5.35

Another 5 runner race and again the lack of known early pace doesn't help to analyse the race, four of the runners like to track the leaders so I'm hoping that's enough to ensure there's a decent early gallop, Nubough and Gleniffer may prefer further so this race might not be run to suit them, Captain Jameson has a good time from 2019 but nothing as good last year and may need this run for fitness as it usually does, Pearl Of Qatar 2/1 will I expect run a decent race but looks to be poor value in my opinion, i will be backing DICK DATCHERY 5/2 who is the hold up horse in the race, it isn't much better in the betting but the outsider is only a 6/1 shot.

12:10 Thirsk Racing Tips (17th April)

THIRSK 12.10

A competitive class 6 race with 14 runners and only one known front runner in the shape of Carlovian but its best isn't quite good enough to hold on for the win and it doesn't really like really good to firm going, Highland Acclaim 6/1 is a 10yo who is capable of winning from out of the blue with no prior warning so is always a danger to be wary of but at the price it isn't worth doing each way, there is quite a few i could lay but that's depending on the betting, Hijacked could go well if fully wound up after a 172 day break but usually needs a run for fitness so maybe one to lay if a shortish price, Thrilla In Manilla doesn't really like good to firm going, I will be having a small wager on EPIEUS who comes out 3rd top on recent distance times(2020/21) while it best from 2019 would take it to top spot and has good trainer/jockey stats.

THIRSK 12.40 Div I

This is a dire race and this division is poor, its got a lot of either lightly raced sorts or others that are well out of form and its impossible to back most of the field, Lucky Beggar and Kolossus have shown some snippets of form, the former comes out 2nd best overall if i use a time from 2019, the latter comes out 3rd best overall and it is one of only two known front running types in the race and could go well from the front but it usually needs at least one run after a break for fitness, I will pin my hopes on the top weighted WAR OF CLANS 14/1 who has won before after a break plus this is a drop in class as it was contesting class four races last year so has to be worth an each way wager.

THIRSK 1.10 Div II

Class 5 and no better, there's no known pacesetters in this race which always muddies the waters, Ghathanfar won last time out on g/f ground in a slow time so that might have flattered it plus i think it would be better over further, Lady Nectar and Jill Rose may need this run for fitness, it may be too far for Shoot To Kill unless its filled out during the winter, Freedom Flyer could go well if able to reproduce its best time from Wolverhampton to grass, Dick Datchery hasn't shown much in its latest runs but has a time from Ayr last year that makes it my 2nd top rated, I will have a small wager on FLAVIUS TITUS 9/1 who is top rated on a time recorded at Newmarket last year and usually runs on at the finish and has won before after a break from racing.

Only 7 runners but still a competitive little race, I can only see one natural front running sort in the race and being my top rated it should be a true run affair. I will look to lay Wiley Post if of value, the 2 I expect will be the outsiders, Ascot Jungle and Mykindofsunshine, would need to improve to win this race, Shamshon my 4th top rated is forecast to be favourite but hasn't won on turf since 2019, Zulu Zander in 3rd top spot ha an off-putting jockey record of 0-6 while the 2nd top rated Katherine Place has an even worse jockey record with it being 0-19, the top weight and my top rated is HAVEONEYERSELF 3/1 who I think/hope can lead all the way in this race and get back to winning ways.

Another seven runner race with 4 of the runners being 4yo’s, Vape and/or Spreadsheet could set the pace but both would need to improve time wise to hold on for the win, Recall has had one run on good ground over this distance but the time was too slow to register on my graphs, the two older horses have bits of form that makes Street Parade my 4th top rated and Real Estate my 2nd top rated, the 4yo Little Brown Trout has a time from Lingfield that makes it my 3rd top rated horse in this race but top rated is the top weight STRONG POWER 2/1 and if able to reproduce its best time from Leicester last year it would see it winning this race a shade cosily.
